Delivery to Lakewood is Zone E$1,200 each way, from JOLT's Gypsum yard 128 road miles west. The same fee applies across Lakewood's listed ZIPs, and pickup is a second Zone E leg.

What is the delivered cost for a Lakewood job?

A Base 20 ft office rents for $795/mo with a three-month minimum. Add $1,200 for delivery and $1,200 when the unit returns to Gypsum. The delivery line is identical to Denver's, while the office rent and deposit do not change by town.

That structure favors longer commercial tenant-improvement and multifamily projects. Over a season or a year, the two truck legs are spread across many months of office use. On a one-month 20 ft storage container at $295/mo, the haul dominates, so a metro yard is normally the right call.

Ask any yard whether its quote includes delivery in each direction, damage protection, environmental charges, furniture, internet and placement on a paved lot. Ask whether fence installation and removal are separate. JOLT lists the damage waiver at 12% of rent plus recurring upgrades and the environmental fee at 5% of the same base, without compounding it on the waiver.

The waiver deductible and exclusions are stated in Rental Agreement §12, and theft is excluded. Deposits are applied to the first invoice. Use the Denver office-cost answer to compare the full arithmetic rather than treating monthly rent as the delivered total.

When does a nearby metro yard win?

Choose a nearby yard for a short single-box storage need, a same-week request that is not a Base office, or a site that will move from one Lakewood address to another. JOLT charges a delivery and pickup for each road move. A low monthly box price cannot offset repeated Zone E hauling.

The customer may not move JOLT equipment. An approved move within the same property can be performed by JOLT for $450 under Rental Agreement §5.5, but an address change is another pickup and delivery. A rolling interior-renovation program is therefore better served by a nearby fleet.

JOLT becomes the stronger comparison when the specific office and bundled site setup matter. Ask the other yard whether its office has the listed door, windows, mini-split, shore-power inlet, lights, outlets and floor, and price any furnishings or connectivity separately. Compare against JOLT and WillScot or JOLT and Mobile Mini using written line items rather than assumptions.

How do you place a container on a paved Lakewood lot?

Nearly every Lakewood site is paved, so placement begins with circulation. Keep drive aisles, fire access and accessible routes open, then mark a spot where the tilt-bed truck can approach in a straight line. The customer supplies any dunnage required for its chosen placement and remains responsible for damage to pavement or the site caused at its direction.

A 20 ft unit needs about 70 ft of straight-line clearance; a 40 ft unit needs about 100 ft. Adequate overhead room, road width and turning radius are also required, along with a firm, level and well-drained surface. The space answer and truck-size answer help a superintendent walk the route.

A customer representative must be present to direct placement, and utilities must be located and marked. If access, the surface or the representative is not ready, the trip is charged and rescheduled under §5.3. Photograph the full approach and mark corners before delivery rather than discovering a light pole or parked vehicle during the window.

The standard window is 2–4 weeks from reservation. JOLT Express puts only a Base office on site within 7 business days for $750; it does not apply to other units. Availability is live on each product page, and a reservation is confirmed when its deposit is received.

Which Lakewood approvals belong to the customer?

All of them. Permits, zoning, HOA and landlord consents are the customer's responsibility under Rental Agreement §5.2(d). If a box, truck, fence or work area touches a street or public right of way, ask Lakewood what permit or traffic approval is required before dispatch.

Lakewood is Jefferson County's most populous municipality, with 155,984 residents in the 2020 Census (U.S. Census Bureau via Wikipedia). West Colfax Avenue and US-6 cross the city, creating many commercial sites where the property line and public travel area meet. Do not assume a paved shoulder, curb lane or sidewalk can become delivery space.

The Denver Federal Center is a federal campus in Lakewood with its own contractor and gate procedures. The contractor must obtain those procedures, confirm driver entry and identify the approved placement before scheduling. A federal gate approval is separate from city right-of-way or land-use approval.

Ask the local authority whether a temporary container needs separate review under the project's permit, whether the duration changes the answer, and whether fence or truck operations affect public space. The Colorado permit guide and Denver property answer frame the issue but do not issue Lakewood approval.

Put those approvals into the site-logistics package before the reservation window begins. The placement drawing should distinguish private pavement from sidewalk, street and shared access, and it should show where the delivery truck can wait without closing a required route. Tenant permission alone may not answer a landlord, city or campus question.

Federal-campus work needs the same disciplined separation. Gate admission gets the driver onto the campus, while the contractor's placement instruction identifies where the unit goes and who can direct the driver. Send JOLT the information needed for the reservation, but keep responsibility for credentials and owner coordination with the contractor named in the agreement.

Which unit works best on a commercial lot?

For a superintendent's office, the 20 ft office family is the usual starting point. Base is an 8 ft by 8 ft 6 in ISO office with a 36-inch steel personnel door, two barred slider windows, mini-split heat and cooling, a 50-amp shore-power inlet, lights, outlets and vinyl-plank floor. Its compact footprint preserves more parking than a 40 ft office.

The 40 ft office with bathroom has an enclosed bathroom at the far end, mini-split, 50-amp inlet, lights, outlets and vinyl-plank floor. It needs about 100 ft of approach and has a three-month minimum. Measure the aisle and verify utility service before selecting it.

Storage choice follows access and how crews enter the box. The 10 ft box is the smallest, with a man door and barred window on the long side and cargo doors on the end. The 12 ft box is standard height and 8 ft wide with the same access pattern, useful as a walk-in tool crib.

The 20 ft storage unit is a one-trip standard-height ISO container with cargo doors, four lock bars and a welded lockbox, with no windows or personnel door. The 40 ft storage container is a 9 ft 6 in high-cube with cargo doors and welded lockbox. Use the 20 versus 40 office guide and verify paved-lot circulation before reserving either long unit.

What completes an OSHA-driven site setup?

Temporary fence consists of galvanized chain-link panels 6 ft tall by 10 ft wide, steel tube stands and clamps. Rent is $3.50/LF/mo, installation is $1.75 per linear foot and removal is $1.75 per linear foot. Ask every yard whether all three lines and the deposit are shown.

Use the fence panel answer after measuring the actual perimeter, and read the Colorado OSHA fence answer before treating rented panels as a compliance plan. Keep stands and panels out of accessible routes and drive aisles. The contractor controls the site arrangement and required inspections.

A hand-wash station is portable and may be added to any unit or ordered alone at $85/mo. Traffic control ranges from Basic with 25 cones, 6 Type II barricades and 2 sign stands to Standard with 50 cones, 10 Type III barricades, 8 vertical panels, 4 sign stands and 2 flagger paddles; Full adds a solar arrow board and 2 flashing barricade lights. Match equipment to an approved plan.

A light tower is trailer-mounted with a mast to about 30 ft, four LED floodlights and a generator cabinet on a single-axle trailer. A ground heater is a trailer-mounted hydronic unit with insulated hose on a reel for thawing ground and curing concrete. Both have one-month minimums and their own reservation deposits.

For a multifamily project, sequence the perimeter and office against trade access. A fence line that looks clean on a drawing can block material deliveries or the later pickup approach, and equipment parked beside the office can consume the straight run needed by the tilt-bed. Reserve a truck path, not just a rectangle for the unit.

For occupied commercial work, separate worker circulation from customer circulation. Position the personnel door toward the controlled work area, keep the cargo-door swing within the approved zone, and preserve accessible travel around the setup. These are site-planning decisions by the customer, not added features of the rental.

The order can be phased, but each truck movement still has a price. Combining an office, storage and jobsite support into a deliberate mobilization is usually more sensible than ordering one item after another without regard to Zone E trips. Ask what can share delivery planning, then confirm the fee attached to every unit rather than assuming a shared truck removes a charge.

How do power, connectivity and foothills weather affect the office?

Grid-Free includes everything in Base plus WATCH, CONNECT and POWER, using a 10 kWh battery that runs the HVAC without shore power. It can bridge an early construction phase before temporary power. Base with POWER gets two 400 W panels, a 3 kWh LFP battery and inverter for Starlink, camera, lights and laptops, but not the mini-split.

CONNECT provides Starlink Mini, a router and 50 GB Roam. WATCH provides a solar LTE panoramic camera, motion alerts and cloud clips, while READY adds a plan table, 2 chairs, whiteboard, mini-fridge, microwave and 1,500 W heater. Ask competing yards which of those are included and which carry recurring rent.

Green Mountain marks Lakewood's foothills edge, where wind and snow deserve planning even on a paved lot. The customer clears snow, ice and debris from roofs, condensers, panels, doors and paths and protects equipment from wind under Rental Agreement §7.4. Keep the pickup lane open rather than using it for snow storage. An office that will sit exposed on the west side through winter can move up to the Alpine tier at $1,895/mo, which adds a standing-seam over-roof, a covered entry deck and backup heat to the Base interior.

Satellite, cellular and solar performance depend on networks, weather, terrain, sky view, sunlight and load; §13.2 makes no uptime promise. Camera notices and recording consents are also the customer's work under §13.3. The off-grid power guide helps separate HVAC loads from office electronics.

Base remains the direct choice when reliable shore power is at the pad. Grid-Free is not merely a Base office with a small accessory battery: its 10 kWh system is the listed option that runs HVAC without shore power. POWER serves a different load set, so asking whether "solar is included" is too vague for a useful quote comparison.

Connectivity needs a usable sky view and a site plan that accounts for nearby structures. Camera placement needs the same advance thought because public parking, sidewalks and occupied buildings may fall in view. The superintendent should settle notices, lawful use and the desired field of view before the unit arrives rather than using the delivery window to decide.

Lakewood weather planning also includes retrieval. Keep snow piles, parked vehicles and stored materials away from the straight-line approach, clear the office systems and doors, and maintain drainage around customer-supplied dunnage. A paved lot can still become an unserviceable pickup site if the original route disappears during construction.

How should billing and pickup be scheduled?

The minimum term is a commitment, not an estimate of likely use. Rent is due for that full term even if the project requests an early pickup. Build the office duration around a real tenant-improvement or multifamily schedule and avoid ordering a three-month unit for a brief punch-list assignment.

After the minimum, send written notice at least 15 days before the desired pickup and keep the unit accessible, empty, clean and free of customer property or attachments. Rent continues until retrieval. If site conditions or blocked access prevent pickup, the unsuccessful trip and subsequent trip are charged and rent keeps running under Rental Agreement §16.

That rule makes demobilization planning important on a paved urban site. Contractors often restripe, landscape, stage lifts or turn parking back to tenants near completion; any of those steps can erase the delivery path. Put container retrieval ahead of the work that closes its aisle.

Reservation cancellation follows a different clock from pickup notice. Written cancellation received more than 14 days before the first day of the delivery window is free, while cancellation inside 14 days forfeits the deposit under Rental Agreement §2.2. Confirm owner approvals before that boundary rather than treating the deposit as a no-cost hold.

The rate rises 5% on each anniversary of delivery under §3.4. A long-running project comparison should include that anniversary adjustment, the recurring waiver and environmental fee, and the two Zone E legs. Ask another yard for the same categories so both totals cover the same period and services.
