The Base 20 ft office rents for $795/mo from our yard in Gypsum, with a $750 deposit and a three-month minimum. It is built for the superintendent who needs a lockable, heated and cooled room quickly on a site that has temporary power or has an electrician scheduled to connect it.

What does the Base office cost to run?

The monthly rate buys a complete unfurnished office, not an empty box that has to be converted in the field. Delivery follows the project address, and any kits you add bill on their own lines.

The reservation deposit holds a specific unit and delivery window, then applies to the first invoice under Rental Agreement §2. Rent begins when the unit is delivered and is due for the full minimum term. After that minimum, the agreement continues month to month until proper written pickup notice and retrieval.

Budget the environmental fee at 5% of rent plus recurring upgrades. The damage-waiver option is 12% of that same base, subject to a per-incident deductible and exclusions, and it is not insurance. A refundable deposit equal to one month's rent plus a certificate of insurance is the alternative described in Rental Agreement §10.

Rates rise 5% on each anniversary of delivery, and sales tax is extra. The published pricing is the clean starting point for a purchase order because it separates monthly rent, one-time transport and selected recurring upgrades. The answer on Denver jobsite office cost shows how those categories apply to a Zone E project without hiding transport inside rent.

Delivery to Eagle or Avon is Zone A$400 each way; Breckenridge is Zone C$750 each way; Lakewood and Castle Rock are Zone E$1,200 each way. Check the exact project address on the delivery-zone page, because the town decides the truck charge, and pickup equals delivery in Zones A through E.

What arrives inside the steel shell?

Base is a 20 ft ISO container office measuring 20 ft long, 8 ft wide and 8 ft 6 in tall under ISO 668. It has a 36-inch steel personnel door for daily entry and two barred slider windows for daylight and ventilation. Crews do not need to cycle the cargo doors to enter the workspace.

The interior has mini-split heating and cooling, installed lights, outlets and a vinyl-plank floor. That combination supports plan review, daily reports, subcontractor coordination and a place for a laptop away from dust and weather. Furniture, internet, a camera and independent battery power remain choices rather than being folded into the Base rent.

20 ft Base office interior: white walls, vinyl plank floor, barred window and wall-mounted mini-split
The Base interior has a finished floor, lights, outlets, windows and space for the READY furniture kit.

The barred windows and steel personnel door add physical resistance at obvious openings, but the office still needs normal closeout discipline. Lock the door, control keys, remove attractive tools and keep the approach visible. If a project needs remote observation, WATCH mounts a solar LTE panoramic camera on the unit and supplies motion alerts and cloud clips.

Base is a ground-level office, not a wheeled mobile-office trailer. Our truck sets the container directly at the marked placement, which keeps the daily entrance near grade and leaves no trailer running gear under the room. The 20 ft office family compares this same chassis with Grid-Free and Alpine when power or appearance changes the specification.

The line between what we ship and what you provide matters at mobilization. JOLT delivers the office and everything listed above; the customer provides site electricity and the connection to it. For a wider checklist of responsibilities and equipment, read what is included in a mobile office rental.

Which options make Base ready for the field team?

READY is the direct furnishing choice for a superintendent who does not want to move spare office furniture between projects. It includes a plan table, two chairs, a whiteboard, mini-fridge, microwave and a 1,500 W portable heater. The kit is fitted in our yard, bills monthly and remains JOLT property.

That package gives the room an immediate operating layout. Put the plan table where daylight does not wash out the laptop, reserve wall space for current drawings and use the whiteboard for short-interval coordination. Keep paths to the personnel door, mini-split and electrical equipment open rather than filling every edge with stored material.

Decide who supplies the small operating items that READY does not include. The field team still needs its own computers, printer if required, office supplies, food containers and cleaning routine. Assigning those items before mobilization prevents the furnished office from arriving ready while the actual reporting workflow remains stalled.

Treat the office as workspace rather than overflow storage. Dense tool stacks interfere with the plan table, block outlets and make clean pickup harder, while fuels and hazardous materials are prohibited. Use a separate storage container when secure material volume is part of the requirement.

CONNECT adds Starlink Mini and a router with the published Roam plan when the project does not have reliable data at the office location. WATCH addresses remote visibility, and POWER supports those systems along with lights and laptops when temporary power is interrupted or still pending. JOLT PACK combines WATCH, CONNECT and POWER for one recurring package.

POWER is not an HVAC source. Its solar panels, LFP battery and inverter can carry Starlink, the camera, lights and laptops, but they do not operate the Base mini-split. Treat it as continuity for communications and desk loads, not as permission to mobilize indefinitely without the shore-power connection.

If the office records the jobsite through WATCH, the customer handles notices, signs and consents required for recording. Starlink, LTE and solar performance depend on clear sky view, weather and load, and JOLT does not promise uptime. Those operating limits are stated in Rental Agreement §13.

BRAND adds removable logo vinyl when the office faces a gate, client entrance or public edge. JOLT applies the 24 × 48 in graphics on two sides in the yard before delivery for $450, and the vinyl remains JOLT property. Submit the artwork through the logo-branding process rather than attaching field-made signs to the shell.

What does the 50-amp inlet require?

The site supplies electricity. A licensed electrician must connect that utility through the provided 50-amp shore-power inlet under Rental Agreement §7.2. Do not drill, cut, paint or create another inlet, and do not route an improvised connection through a window or door.

Bring the electrical contractor into the logistics plan before the office arrives. The electrician needs to understand the placement, source location and intended route without creating a conflict with truck access, drainage or future excavation. JOLT provides the inlet; design and provision of site-side electrical service remain the customer's work.

Sequence the connection so the delivery truck can leave before electrical work closes the approach. A temporary cable, trench or distribution equipment placed across the truck path can turn a prepared pad into an inaccessible one. The superintendent should coordinate the set, utility work and barricades as separate activities.

After connection, document the responsible site contact for power interruptions. If the office loses HVAC, first confirm the site supply and keep doors and windows closed while the electrical issue is addressed. Do not alter the inlet or office wiring in an attempt to restore service.

Once connected, the shore supply serves the outlets, lights and included mini-split. Keep the mini-split condenser free of snow, ice and debris, and preserve access for service. The answer on heating a shipping-container office in winter gives the practical distinction between included HVAC and optional supplemental heat.

While temporary power is pending, POWER can keep Starlink, WATCH, lights and laptops operating within its intended load. It still will not heat or cool the room through the mini-split. If the project will never have site electricity, reserve the Grid-Free sibling or Alpine, whose 10 kWh battery is configured to run HVAC.

The Alpine sibling includes Grid-Free's solar array, 10 kWh battery, camera and Starlink, then adds backup heat and a mountain exterior package. It is the alternative when neighborhood review, a client-facing entrance or exposed winter conditions accompany off-grid operation. Base remains the straightforward choice where the electrical plan is real and exterior treatment is not a project requirement.

What must be ready before our truck arrives?

Select a firm, level and well-drained placement. A 20 ft container needs about 70 ft of straight-line clearance for a tilt-bed or flatbed delivery truck, plus enough road width, turning radius, grade and overhead room for the approach. Walk the route for gates, eaves, branches, wires, temporary utilities, parked equipment and material piles.

Locate and mark underground and overhead utilities before dispatch. The customer is responsible for permits, zoning, HOA and landlord approvals, and a representative must be present to direct placement. The Colorado container permit answer helps frame the questions, but the authority with jurisdiction makes the decision for the actual parcel and use.

Our driver places the office where your representative directs. If the requested location is on soft fill, captures runoff or blocks a later construction phase, that direction can create avoidable site damage or another truck move. Confirm the location against the current logistics plan, not an early bid drawing.

Do not lift or move the office with a telehandler, crane or other site equipment. JOLT can make an on-site relocation with our truck for $450. Unauthorized movement is prohibited and is also excluded from damage-waiver protection.

The office cannot be used as a residence or for overnight sleeping. Do not store hazardous materials, stack another unit on it, weld, cut, drill or paint the shell, or remove JOLT signage, telematics and cameras. Keep snow, ice and debris off the roof, condenser, panels, door and access path throughout the rental.

How quickly can Base reach the site?

The standard delivery window is 2–4 weeks from reservation. That window gives our Gypsum yard time to assign the office, install READY or technology kits, prepare BRAND graphics and schedule our truck around mountain routes. Check the availability badge at the top before building the office into the short-interval plan.

Base is the only rental unit eligible for JOLT Express. For $750, paid at reservation, an eligible Base office is on site within 7 business days. Express is a window, not a promised date, and it does not waive access, placement, electrical or delivery-zone requirements.

  1. Choose the configuration

Confirm Base, furniture, communications, observation and branding before the yard fit begins.
  2. Reserve the window

Check the availability badge, enter the project address and reserve the unit; the delivery zone follows the address.
  3. Prepare the placement

Mark utilities, secure approvals, clear the truck route and schedule the electrician for the provided inlet.
  4. Receive the office

Have the site representative meet our truck and direct the driver to the approved, prepared location.

Use Reserve when the address, responsible contact and delivery window are known. The broader how it works sequence covers confirmation, monthly billing, mid-rental upgrades and retrieval. A failed delivery caused by an inaccessible or unprepared site is charged under Rental Agreement §5.

If the schedule is less urgent, the standard window follows the same physical process without the Express fee. Either way, selected kits should be settled before dispatch so the office arrives in the intended operating state. Last-minute field changes can require a later service visit instead of becoming part of delivery.

What happens when the office leaves the job?

Give at least 15 days' written notice for pickup after the minimum term. Rent continues until JOLT retrieves the office, not merely until the notice date. The unit must be empty, clean, accessible and free of customer attachments when our truck returns.

Walk the pickup route as carefully as the delivery route. Remove stored materials and vehicles, clear snow and debris, and verify that excavation or temporary utilities have not closed the original approach. A failed pickup trip is charged under Rental Agreement §16.

Remove plans, electronics, food, furniture that belongs to the project and every personal item. Sweep the vinyl-plank floor and leave JOLT's upgrade hardware, camera, telematics and branding vinyl in place. Property left inside is deemed abandoned.

Pickup in Zones A through E costs the same as delivery. Zone F pickup is quoted in writing before delivery, and every Zone F placement carries a 12-month minimum instead of the 3-month minimum that applies in Colorado. Do not move the office closer to the road yourself; ask JOLT to handle any needed relocation with our truck.

If the project wants to keep an office rather than close the rental, buying and lease-to-own use separate paperwork. Review the 20 ft office purchase option or the lease-to-own path without assuming rental payments change ownership. Title stays with JOLT unless a separate purchase or lease-to-own addendum says otherwise.

Do I need a permit?

Depends on the town: zoning, building and right-of-way are the three questions, and a short job on private land often clears them. You pull the permit; we deliver to it. Start with our Colorado container permit answer.

Colorado container permit answer
Does it work in snow?

Yes. It is a steel ISO box with mini-split heat; you keep the roof and the door clear. For heavy-snow towns the Alpine tier adds a standing-seam over-roof, a covered entry deck and backup heat.

Will an HOA approve it?

Approval is yours to get; a defined rental term and a clean one-trip unit help the case. Show the board the Alpine tier: matte black, cedar surrounds, built for HOA and resort sites.

What if my site has no power?

Base plugs into 50-amp shore power. Grid-Free carries its own solar array and a 10 kWh battery pack that runs the HVAC, so no shore power is required. Choose the Grid-Free tier.
