Delivery to Arvada is Zone E — $1,200 each way, from the Gypsum yard 130 road miles west. Pickup is charged as another Zone E leg, and the monthly rates are the same across JOLT's Colorado service area.
What does the Arvada order cost after delivery?
A Base 20 ft office rents for $795/mo on a three-month minimum. Delivery adds $1,200 and pickup adds $1,200. Those truck charges are fixed by zone, whether the destination is an Olde Town infill lot or a new subdivision near the city's edge.
The full order matters more than the monthly headline. A one-month 20 ft storage box at $295/mo cannot spread two long truck legs over much use, so a nearby metro yard is usually better. A subdivision office that stays through several construction phases can spread those trips across its working life.
Ask every yard what delivery and pickup cost per unit, whether damage protection and environmental charges recur, and whether power, internet, a camera, furnishings and logo graphics are separate. JOLT's damage waiver is 12% of rent plus recurring upgrades, with deductible and exclusions in Rental Agreement §12; theft is excluded. The environmental fee is 5% of the same base and does not compound on the waiver.
Deposits are applied to the first invoice. Use the Denver office-cost answer for the same Zone E arithmetic, and compare written scope with WillScot or Mobile Mini rather than guessing which extras are included.
When is an Arvada-area yard the practical choice?
Choose a local yard for one short storage container, a same-week need that is not a Base office, or a site expected to move across town. Every address change causes another pickup and delivery. That cost pattern favors the shorter local haul.
The customer may not move a JOLT unit. JOLT can perform an approved relocation within one site for $450 under Rental Agreement §5.5, but moving from one subdivision filing to another is a road move. Put the unit where it can remain through the relevant phase.
JOLT is a better candidate when the office setup carries value for months: off-grid HVAC, camera and internet at an early greenfield site, or furnishings and logos at a model-home project. Ask another yard to itemize equivalent features, delivery, pickup and recurring percentages. Then compare totals over the expected term.
Who gets HOA and metro-district approval?
The customer does. Arvada's new subdivisions may have metro-district requirements and HOA covenants affecting containers, fence and visible jobsite equipment. Under Rental Agreement §5.2(d), the customer holds every permit, approval, zoning clearance, HOA consent and landlord consent.
Do not treat an active building permit as automatic permission for the laydown plan. Ask the controlling authority and property owner whether the proposed office, storage, fence, camera and branded graphics are accepted, and whether any truck operation touches public space. The Colorado container-permit answer provides questions, not project approval.
Arvada had 124,402 residents in the 2020 Census, with most in Jefferson County and a smaller number in Adams County (U.S. Census Bureau via Wikipedia). Confirm the parcel's county before asking a county question. City limits, county lines, HOA covenants and owner rules are separate layers.
Olde Town has another stakeholder where work approaches transit. RTD's G Line commuter rail serves Olde Town Arvada (City of Arvada). A nearby project must obtain its own access and right-of-way instructions rather than assuming a container delivery can use a transit approach or public parking area.
Create one approval list for each address. A greenfield parcel may involve the builder, district and HOA, while infill may add a landlord, adjacent business or public right of way. The agreement does not shift any of those approvals to JOLT simply because a driver can physically reach the proposed spot.
Visible fence screening, an office logo and a camera can raise different questions from the container itself. Show all of them on the site plan used for owner and HOA review. An approval for a plain storage box should not be read as approval for graphics or recording.
How does delivery work on a new subdivision street?
Standard delivery is 2–4 weeks from reservation. Long, straight new streets can make the roughly 100 ft approach for a 40 ft office realistic, but only if parked trades, materials and earthwork stay out of the truck path. A 20 ft unit needs about 70 ft of straight-line clearance.
Both sizes also require adequate overhead clearance, road width and turning room. The final pad must be firm, level and well drained, utilities must be marked, and a customer representative must direct placement. Review the delivery-space answer and jobsite setup checklist before the window.
If the road is open but the pad is soft, the representative is absent or the route is blocked, the trip is charged and rescheduled under Rental Agreement §5.3. Photographs should show the entire route, corners, overhead lines and final position. Reserve a clear staging lane through the delivery window.
JOLT Express applies only to a Base 20 ft office and puts it on site within 7 business days for $750. Grid-Free, Alpine, the 40 ft office, storage, fence and equipment stay on the standard window. Current availability is shown on each product page.
Street length does not replace pad preparation. The customer must provide a firm, level, well-drained surface capable of supporting the equipment and must identify overhead and underground utilities. A broad new road with a muddy lot edge is not ready merely because the truck can line up.
Coordinate the representative with the builder's traffic plan. That person needs authority to direct the final position, and stakes or paint should show the agreed corners before the truck enters the lot. Moving the choice during delivery can place doors, panels or the eventual pickup path in conflict with later work.
Read whether containers need a foundation before preparing the support plan. JOLT places where the customer directs, but responsibility for pavement, landscaping, utilities and structures remains with the customer. The right question is not just whether the box fits; it is whether placement and retrieval can occur without using an unapproved route.

What should month one include on a greenfield site?
A greenfield homebuilding phase often starts before temporary power. The Grid-Free office includes everything in Base plus WATCH, CONNECT and POWER, with a 10 kWh battery that runs the HVAC and no shore power required. It gives the superintendent a defined office package while utility work proceeds.
If HVAC can wait, a Base office with POWER uses two 400 W panels, a 3 kWh LFP battery and inverter to run Starlink, the camera, lights and laptops. POWER does not run the mini-split. CONNECT adds Starlink Mini, a router and 50 GB Roam, and WATCH adds a solar LTE panoramic camera with motion alerts and cloud clips.
| Need | Unit or upgrade | What it includes | Deposit |
|---|---|---|---|
| Office before temporary power | Grid-Free office | Base + WATCH + CONNECT + POWER; 10 kWh HVAC battery | $750 |
| Office on shore power | Base office | Mini-split, 50-amp inlet, lights and outlets | $750 |
| Secure storage | 20 ft storage | 4 lock bars, welded lockbox, cargo doors | $350 |
| Site boundary | Temporary fence | 6 ft × 10 ft panels, stands and clamps | $500 |
| Roadside devices | Traffic Basic | 25 cones + 6 Type II barricades + 2 sign stands | $350 |
Temporary fence rents by linear foot and includes galvanized 6 ft by 10 ft panels, steel tube stands and clamps. Installation and removal are separate at $1.75 and $1.75 per linear foot. Measure with the panel-count answer and use the Colorado OSHA fence answer for compliance context.
A hand-wash station can be added to any unit or ordered alone. Traffic control Basic includes 25 cones, 6 Type II barricades and 2 sign stands; Standard has 50 cones, 10 Type III barricades, 8 vertical panels, 4 sign stands and 2 flagger paddles; Full adds a solar arrow board and 2 flashing barricade lights. The project's approved plan determines the needed devices.
Treat the first-month list as a mobilization plan, not a bundle whose contents can be assumed. Fence rent, installation, removal, traffic packages, hand washing and each unit's delivery should appear as distinct lines. Ask another yard to state the same distinctions, including deposits and minimum terms.
The JOLT Pack combines WATCH, CONNECT and POWER for $699/mo. It fits a Base office when the electronics need off-grid service but HVAC will use shore power or can wait. Grid-Free remains the listed choice when the battery itself must run the mini-split.
Winter on an open subdivision plateau adds three more lines to consider. The Alpine office at $1,895/mo adds a standing-seam over-roof, covered entry deck and backup heat to Base; a light tower at $1,250/mo lights an early foundation pour from a mast to about 30 ft; and a ground heater at $1,450/mo in season thaws footings and cures slabs when the schedule cannot wait for a warm week.
A superintendent should also decide where stored materials, trade parking and waste handling will move as homes progress. Fence and a box that work in the first phase can block the next street release. Keep the office fixed where possible and use a local yard instead if repeated cross-town movement is part of the plan from the start.
Which unit fits Olde Town or a wide new street?
Olde Town infill often calls for the smallest box. The 10 ft storage container is 8 ft wide and standard height, with a walk-in man door and barred window on the long side and cargo doors at the end. It can occupy one parking stall where a 20 ft box cannot, subject to permission for that stall and a workable truck approach.
The 12 ft storage box is also 8 ft wide and standard height, with a man door, one barred window and end cargo doors. A 20 ft storage box is a one-trip standard-height ISO container with cargo doors, four lock bars and a welded lockbox; it has no windows or personnel door. Choose for workflow, not merely capacity.
The 40 ft storage container is a one-trip high-cube, 9 ft 6 in tall, with cargo doors and welded lockbox. Its three-month minimum and about 100 ft approach fit a stable greenfield layout better than constrained infill. Confirm overhead clearance and the long-term circulation plan first.
Base, the entry tier of the 20 ft office, is an ISO office measuring 8 ft by 8 ft 6 in, with a 36-inch steel personnel door, two barred slider windows, mini-split heat and cooling, 50-amp inlet, lights, outlets and vinyl-plank floor. The 40 ft office with bathroom has an enclosed bathroom at the far end and the same listed utilities and finishes, but requires the longer approach. The size guide helps frame the choice.
How do BRAND, READY and cameras work near homes?
Model-home and amenity-center work can make visible presentation and immediate furnishings useful. READY adds a plan table, 2 chairs, whiteboard, mini-fridge, microwave and 1,500 W heater for $125/mo. BRAND places the customer's logo in 24×48 removable vinyl on two sides for $450 one time.
Ask any yard whether furniture, appliances, logo production, application and removal are covered by its quoted lines. Do not assume an office rent includes them. Obtain the property owner's and HOA's approval for visible graphics before production.
WATCH may face a residential street as well as the work zone. Under Rental Agreement §13.3, the customer posts any notices and obtains any consents required for recording. The jobsite camera answer explains the equipment, but it does not decide where recording is lawful.
Satellite, LTE and solar depend on third-party networks, weather, terrain, sky view, sunlight and load, so there is no uptime promise under §13.2. Snow and ice must be cleared from roofs, condensers, panels, doors and access paths under §7.4. Keep the pickup route usable through the final phase.
Place the camera for the jobsite purpose while limiting unnecessary views of neighboring homes and sidewalks. The customer controls lawful use of footage and required notice; JOLT's equipment description does not answer those legal questions. Ask any yard whether camera hardware, service, clips and an additional camera are separately priced.
READY is useful when the office opens before the field team has moved furniture, but it should be compared item by item. The listed package is a plan table, 2 chairs, whiteboard, mini-fridge, microwave and 1,500 W heater. If a quote says "furnished," ask exactly what arrives rather than assuming it matches that list.
BRAND also needs lead time for customer artwork and approval. The listed product is removable vinyl on the rented unit, not a permanent alteration. Confirm the model-home operator, owner and HOA accept the two logo locations before ordering the one-time service.
What keeps a long Arvada rental from drifting?
Tie the reservation to a stable placement and a named project phase. Offices and 40 ft units require three months even if the customer asks for early retrieval, while smaller storage, fence and equipment have one-month minimums. After that commitment, billing continues month to month until written notice and retrieval.
Send at least 15 days' written pickup notice, then clear customer property and attachments from the unit. The approach must remain open and the equipment accessible. Under Rental Agreement §16, a failed pickup caused by site conditions creates another trip and continuing rent.
New-subdivision schedules can hide that demobilization risk. Finished landscaping, occupied homes, newly opened streets and trade parking may close the route that existed at delivery. Retrieve the office before the builder surrenders its access, or preserve the required path in the final logistics plan.
Cancellation before delivery uses the 14-day rule instead. Written notice received more than 14 days before the first day of the window is free, while cancellation within 14 days forfeits the deposit under Rental Agreement §2.2. Complete HOA, district and owner review before crossing that boundary.
For a project that reaches a delivery anniversary, rates rise 5% under §3.4. Put that adjustment beside the recurring waiver, environmental fee and upgrades in the forecast. A fair metro-yard comparison should cover the same duration, equipment list, truck movements and protection choice.
