Start with a 20 ft Grid-Free office at $1,495/mo, a 20 ft storage container at $295/mo and a light tower at $1,250/mo. That kit puts a weather-protected work room, satellite internet, battery-backed HVAC, locked storage and area lighting at a site where the power pole is months away.

Mine reclamation crews, trail and backcountry infrastructure teams, telecom contractors, remote ranch and resort builders, survey crews and drilling camps can assign each line to a clear job. The office handles plans and calls, the storage box holds ordinary tools and materials, and the light tower covers work outside daylight hours.

What does an off-grid site need from an office?

An off grid office container has to support the office load without assuming a utility connection will appear on schedule. Grid-Free combines the Base office with WATCH, CONNECT and POWER, then adds a 10 kWh battery pack that runs the mini-split HVAC without shore power.

The Grid-Free office is a 20 ft ISO container with a personnel door, two barred slider windows, lights, outlets and vinyl-plank flooring. Its built-in WATCH, CONNECT and POWER packages reduce the number of separate choices a buyer must make, while the larger battery distinguishes it from the regular POWER upgrade.

Order the storage box when weather exposure or a long drive back to town would make daily tool hauling impractical. Add WATCH monitoring to that box at $129/mo if the placement has LTE coverage, and add a second WATCH camera at $60/mo when a second view is needed.

The light tower is trailer-mounted, with a mast that reaches about 30 ft and four LED floodlights. A self-contained hand-wash station at $85/mo is another useful line where the site has no plumbed wash point; the customer supplies its water, soap and towels, and the station is not freeze-proof.

Plan quantity by work zones rather than head count alone. One office can serve the people who need a dry place for plans and laptops, while separate storage or lighting lines should follow the distance between active areas and the routes crews can safely walk.

What does the kit cost per month?

For a worked month, carry the Grid-Free office at $1,495/mo, unlimited Starlink data at $75/mo, the 20 ft storage box at $295/mo, WATCH on that storage box at $129/mo and the light tower at $1,250/mo. These are recurring lines; your estimator adds them for the number of units assigned to the address.

Reserve the Grid-Free office with its $750 deposit, the storage box with its $350 deposit and the light tower with its $500 deposit. A reservation deposit holds the assigned equipment and delivery window and is applied to the first invoice.

Leadville is Zone D$950 each way, and Buena Vista is Zone D$950 each way; each unit carries its own delivery and pickup lines.

Recurring invoices also carry the 5% environmental fee and sales tax. Choose either the damage waiver at 12% of rent and recurring upgrades, or provide a refundable deposit equal to one month's rent plus the certificate of insurance required for that option.

Rent and recurring upgrades bill monthly in advance by auto-pay. Office rent has a 3-month minimum, storage and equipment have a 1-month minimum, and the rental continues month to month after the minimum until written pickup notice is given and JOLT retrieves each unit.

Unlimited Starlink data is optional rather than part of the standard CONNECT line. Add it only when the expected office traffic exceeds the included priority-data allowance, and keep it as its own recurring item.

Which power package runs which load?

The decision starts with the load, not the panel count. The matrix assumes the CONNECT or WATCH hardware is installed where those rows apply.

StarlinkYesYesYes
WATCH cameraYesYesYes

Mini-split HVACYesNoYes

Choose Grid-Free at $1,495/mo when the mini-split must heat or cool the office before utility power arrives. The 10 kWh battery pack is the key difference: the standard POWER package supports the smaller office loads but does not run HVAC.

A Base office is $795/mo, and POWER is a separate $399/mo line. That pairing fits a site where Starlink, a camera, lights and laptops need interim solar-battery power but a licensed electrician will later connect the office's 50-amp inlet to shore power.

The JOLT Pack at $699/mo bundles WATCH, CONNECT and POWER for less than those three upgrades rented separately. It still uses the standard POWER system, so it does not turn a Base office into the Grid-Free HVAC configuration.

READY includes a 1,500 W backup heater, which is a large draw next to laptops, lights and a router. The mini-split is the heat source for a Grid-Free office; ask JOLT before planning to run the READY heater from POWER or the Grid-Free battery, and connect a Base office's inlet to shore power through a licensed electrician as Rental Agreement §7 requires.

How does connectivity work with no cell signal?

CONNECT supplies a Starlink Mini and router with 50 GB of priority data on Starlink Roam. That makes a solar jobsite office useful for email, plans and calls beyond the reach of a cellular data connection, but the dish needs a clear view of the sky.

A Starlink jobsite office still depends on the third-party network, weather, terrain, sky view and power. JOLT makes no uptime, speed or coverage promise under Rental Agreement §13, so a superintendent should choose the dish location before the office is set and keep a separate communication plan for critical operations.

The jobsite Starlink cost answer separates CONNECT's included service from the unlimited add-on. Use that distinction when estimating a remote site office rental for plan downloads, video calls and other heavier traffic.

WATCH does not use the office's Starlink connection. It is a solar LTE camera with motion alerts and cloud clips, which means no LTE coverage results in no camera reporting even when the office has working satellite internet.

Check cellular service at the exact container position rather than at the nearest town or highway. Terrain can separate a connected trailer from a dead camera location on the same property, and service still carries the network and coverage limits stated in Rental Agreement §13.

WATCH can record video, images, audio, location and usage data. The customer is responsible for the notices, signage and consents required for recording at the site, so assign that task before the monitoring hardware is activated.

How does delivery work on a remote road?

Send the actual placement pin, approach photos and road constraints before reserving. The mountain-access delivery guide helps the site lead review the final turn, gate, bridge, switchback and unloading line before our truck leaves the paved road.

A 20 ft unit needs about 70 ft of straight-line clearance for a tilt-bed or flatbed truck. The approach also needs workable grade, road width, turning radius and overhead clearance, while the placement point needs a firm, level, well-drained pad capable of supporting the equipment.

Mark underground and overhead utilities, clear branches and parked equipment, and have a designated representative present. Rental Agreement §5 assigns site conditions, access, permits and placement direction to the customer, and a trip that fails because the road, pad, weather or representative is not ready is charged.

A container cannot be set as a way to correct an unsuitable slope. Review the answer on placing a container on a slope, then prepare the level pad before delivery rather than asking the driver to solve the grade during unloading.

The standard delivery window is 2–4 weeks from reservation. JOLT Express applies only to a Base office and targets placement within 7 business days for $750; it is not available for Grid-Free, storage or the light tower and is not a guarantee.

The answer on what size truck delivers a container gives the site team a practical vehicle-access review. Keep the same route open through pickup, because excavation, material staging, snow banks and locked gates can turn a successful delivery route into a failed retrieval.

The customer may not move a container after placement. If the work face shifts, ask JOLT about an authorized move within the same site at $450 and restore truck access before the scheduled move.

What does winter do to solar power?

Short days and snow reduce solar output. Output depends on sunlight and load, and JOLT does not guarantee run time, autonomy or daily energy production under Rental Agreement §13.

Build the winter operating plan around the loads in the power matrix. Grid-Free's 10 kWh pack runs its mini-split HVAC, but the crew still needs to manage laptop, lighting and internet use against available sunlight rather than treating the battery as unlimited.

The customer keeps snow, ice and debris clear of panels, roofs, condensers, doors and access paths under Rental Agreement §7. Assign that work to a named person after each storm, and keep a safe approach to the container rather than letting plowed banks block the doors or retrieval route.

An Alpine office at $1,895/mo includes Grid-Free's camera, Starlink, solar array and 10 kWh battery, so its HVAC runs without shore power. It adds a mountain envelope, standing-seam over-roof, covered entry deck and backup heat.

The solar and battery power guide is useful when the schedule crosses changing seasons. The answer on powering an office without electricity helps a buyer separate the ordinary office loads supported by POWER from the HVAC load assigned to Grid-Free.

Winter also changes access before it changes the equipment. Preserve the firm, level pad, keep the road width and turn clear after plowing, and inspect for roof or panel buildup as part of the site routine.

How far does JOLT deliver?

JOLT delivers from our yard in Gypsum through Colorado and to specified out-of-state markets. Leadville, Buena Vista and Steamboat Springs are Zone D, with $950 charged for delivery and the same amount for pickup on each unit.

Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Montana are Zone F. Delivery is $1,795 per unit, pickup is quoted separately in writing before delivery, and each unit placed in Zone F has a 12-month minimum.

Review the service details for Wyoming or Montana before planning a distant camp. Addresses outside the listed town and zone table do not have a set transport price, so text us for a delivery quote before putting the number into a budget.

Zone F — Mountain West12-month minimumWY, ID, UT, MT$1,795Pickup quoted separately before delivery

Zone pricing answers the distance charge, not whether the last road and pad can take our truck. Use the delivery-zone list for the route line, then send the remote-road information for placement review.

Each unit receives its own delivery and pickup lines, even when the office, storage box and light tower are headed to the same camp.

For long programs across Wyoming, Utah, Montana or Idaho, the oil and gas site plan covers pad-to-pad moves and the distinct restrictions that apply to that work. A remote general-work kit still follows the same Zone F minimum and written pickup quote.

How do storage and lighting work without power?

The 20 ft storage container needs no electrical service. It is a one-trip, standard-height ISO container with cargo doors, four lock bars and a welded lockbox, with no windows or personnel door.

That simple layout works for ordinary tools and materials that belong in a closed container. Hazardous, flammable, explosive or corrosive materials cannot be stored in or near rented equipment under Rental Agreement §7, so clear questionable contents before the box is loaded.

WATCH on the storage container has its own solar supply but reports over LTE. It can cover the storage approach where cellular service reaches the placement, while a no-LTE site should be planned without remote camera reporting.

The light tower supplies its own lighting function rather than drawing from the office battery. It has four LED floodlights on a mast reaching about 30 ft, mounted over a generator cabinet on a single-axle trailer.

The customer supplies the light tower's fuel and returns the unit at the fuel level delivered. Operate it according to its instructions, confirm the fuel detail for the assigned unit when reserving, and keep the trailer where our truck can retrieve it.

Place storage for access during the normal workday, then place lighting for the work area and travel path that remain active after dark. Do not block the container's cargo doors with the tower, and preserve the truck line needed to retrieve both pieces after site staging changes.

The office, storage box and tower have different minimum terms, so sequence pickup by actual need. Give the required written notice before each retrieval, keep every unit accessible, and remember that rent continues until JOLT collects the equipment.

Questions contractors ask

Should I rent Grid-Free or a Base office with POWER?

Grid-Free is $1,495/mo, while Base is $795/mo and POWER is a separate $399/mo line. Choose Grid-Free when the battery must run HVAC; choose Base with POWER when shore power is coming and the interim loads are Starlink, the camera, lights and laptops.

Does the office run air conditioning from the battery?

The Grid-Free office has a 10 kWh battery pack that runs its HVAC. The POWER upgrade alone does not run office HVAC.

How much Starlink data is included?

CONNECT includes 50 GB of priority data on Starlink Roam. Unlimited data is a $75/mo add-on.

How does the off-grid kit perform in winter?

Solar output depends on sunlight and load, so JOLT does not guarantee output or uptime. The customer clears snow, ice and debris from the panels and roof.

Does the WATCH camera work without cell service?

WATCH uses LTE, so it does not report when the site has no LTE coverage. Starlink provides internet to the office, not to the WATCH camera.

What does the light tower cost and need?

The light tower is $1,250/mo with a $500 reservation deposit. The customer supplies fuel and returns it at the fuel level delivered.

What does delivery to a remote road require?

A 20 ft unit needs about 70 ft of straight-line clearance, a firm level pad and a representative present. A failed trip is charged; Leadville and Buena Vista are Zone D at $950 each way.

Does JOLT deliver outside Colorado?

JOLT delivers to Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Montana for $1,795, with pickup quoted separately in writing. Every Zone F unit has a 12-month minimum.
