Delivery to Avon is Zone A$400 each way for a site 27 miles east of our Gypsum yard. Avon sites most often need compact storage, a heated field office and controlled staging; the full fleet price table appears near the end.

How does our truck reach an Avon placement?

Every run begins at our Gypsum yard, off I-70 at the west end of the Eagle River valley. Our truck travels east to Exit 167, then uses Avon Road and its series of roundabouts to reach the town core, US-6 or the Beaver Creek entrance.

The 27-mile highway leg is simple compared with the last few blocks. Roundabouts, construction traffic, parked trades and short private drives determine whether the truck can line up with the pad, so send an approach photo and a marked placement photo before dispatch.

Use the jobsite setup checklist to walk the route from the property entrance to the final spot. Check gate width, turning room, overhead branches, utility lines, parked lifts and the straight lane needed to unload.

The standard delivery window is 2–4 weeks from reservation. JOLT Express puts the 20 ft Base office on-site within 7 business days for $750, but it does not apply to storage, other office tiers or support equipment.

Weather or an I-70 incident can interrupt the eastbound run. We confirm the delivery window by text rather than promising an exact arrival date far in advance, and the superintendent should keep the unloading lane clear throughout that window.

Your representative must be present and able to direct the final placement under Rental Agreement §5. A failed trip caused by access, site conditions, weather or no representative is charged for that trip and the next trip, so resolve gate and pad questions before our truck leaves Gypsum.

Which container size works on an Avon site?

Avon mixes town-core work, residential drives and larger parcels around the I-70 corridor. Select the box by usable site geometry first, then by the amount of material you expect to hold.

Site needPractical choicePlacement reason
Small tool crib near active work10 ft storageShort footprint where a 20 ft box will not fit
Walk-in issue room12 ft storageMan door and barred side window support frequent visits
General tools and finish stock20 ft storageStandard job-box footprint with cargo-door loading
Long project phase40 ft storageTwice the floor of a 20 ft box when the site has a long lane
Daily office for the site lead20 ft officeHeat, cooling, lights and outlets in an 8 ft wide room

The 10 ft storage container has half the floor of a 20 ft box, plus a walk-in man door and barred window. The 12 ft storage container is also 8 ft wide and standard height, with a man door and barred window along the side and cargo doors at the end.

For routine material storage, the 20 ft storage container is a one-trip standard-height ISO box. Its cargo doors use four lock bars and a welded lockbox, with no windows or man door.

The 40 ft high-cube storage container provides twice the floor of the 20 ft unit and stands 9 ft 6 in tall. It carries a 3-month minimum and needs about 100 ft of straight-line truck clearance, making it a poor choice for a short drive even when the box itself fits.

A 20 ft unit needs about 70 ft of straight-line clearance. Review what size truck delivers a shipping container before measuring, because the truck and unloading motion need more room than the container footprint suggests.

Prepare a firm, level and well-drained surface with marked utilities and adequate overhead space. Keep the future pickup lane out of excavation, material laydown and winter snow storage, since a spot that works in September can become inaccessible by February.

Can Avon staging support work inside Beaver Creek?

Avon is the gateway to Beaver Creek, and Avon Road continues through town toward the resort entrance. When staging is restricted up the hill, an approved private placement in Avon can hold tools and scheduled material for crews that carry smaller loads to the active work area.

That arrangement does not remove the need for property approval or a workable truck route. It separates bulk storage from a constrained resort site, while keeping the box near Exit 167 and the daily route up Village Road.

Nottingham Park and the town core sit between I-70 and US-6 along the Eagle River. In that compact area, preserve emergency access, pedestrian movement and the container door swing rather than treating every open strip of pavement as usable staging.

The Village (at Avon) is a large planned unit development on the east side of town, and the town and Traer Creek filed a PUD amendment and vesting-extension application in 2025 (Town of Avon application narrative, October 2025). Work inside a PUD like that answers to the development's own approvals as well as the town's, so ask the developer's representative where a container may sit before you reserve.

Nearby planning can also involve Edwards, Eagle and Vail, while Minturn sits in Zone B. Our Colorado location list and delivery zones show how an address changes the trip charge; ZIP code controls the zone, and an address outside the table is quoted by text.

What permit and placement approvals apply in Avon?

Avon is a home rule town. Per the Town of Avon website, its Community Development Department handles permits inside town limits, while Eagle County Community Development handles building permits in unincorporated areas.

Ask the department with jurisdiction whether a temporary container, office, fence or associated electrical work needs review at your exact parcel. You are responsible for permits, zoning, HOA and landlord consents under Rental Agreement §5, so obtain answers before reserving around a fixed mobilization date.

Eagle County has adopted the 2021 International Codes and the 2023 National Electrical Code through its Building Resolution, per the Eagle County website. The resolution references the Structural Engineers Association of Colorado's Colorado Design Snow Loads study for roof snow-load design, which makes project-specific review more reliable than borrowing a number from another valley address.

Mark underground and overhead utilities before delivery. Our driver places the unit where your representative directs, and site damage from that directed placement is your responsibility under §5.

Do not move, tow or lift the unit after placement. If the work sequence changes, contact us for an on-site relocation at $450 so our truck can evaluate the second pad and access lane.

For temporary fence, map the full run, corners, vehicle openings and grade changes before ordering. Panels are 6 ft tall by 10 ft wide with steel tube stands and clamps, and installation and removal are each priced per linear foot.

How should an Avon crew plan for winter at 7,431 ft?

Avon's elevation is 7,431 ft per USGS GNIS. Snow falls roughly November through April, so the pad, door approach and truck lane need a snow plan rather than a one-time summer inspection.

Place the unit above low drainage paths and keep meltwater moving away from the floor line. Clear snow and ice from the route and unit before pickup, and do not build a plow pile across the straight approach.

The 20 ft office container gives the superintendent mini-split heat and cooling, lights, outlets and a vinyl-plank floor. The Alpine office adds backup heat, a standing-seam over-roof and covered entry deck, while its matte black finish and cedar surrounds can suit a visible placement subject to local review.

Short winter days can make a light tower useful for approved work periods. It is a trailer-mounted unit with a mast reaching about 30 ft, four LED floodlights and a generator cabinet on a single-axle trailer.

A ground heater uses hydronic heat and insulated hose from a trailer-mounted reel to thaw ground or cure concrete in winter. It is priced in season, and the crew still needs a safe trailer position and a hose route protected from job traffic.

Keep a hand-wash station near the work path without blocking office steps or container doors. It can be added to a unit or ordered alone, giving a compact site one movable hygiene point.

How do power, internet and security work around Avon?

The Base office needs a 50-amp shore-power connection. Its 36-inch steel personnel door, two barred slider windows, mini-split, lights and outlets make it the direct option when the site already has reliable temporary power.

The Grid-Free office includes WATCH, CONNECT and POWER, plus a 10 kWh battery pack that runs HVAC. It requires no shore power, which can simplify an early phase before permanent service reaches the office pad.

Metal-framed parking areas and hillside locations can complicate both satellite view and LTE service. CONNECT provides Starlink Mini, a router and 50 GB Roam, but performance depends on sky view and site conditions; review construction-site Starlink cost before choosing the office location.

WATCH adds a solar LTE camera with motion alerts and cloud clips. Read how to secure a jobsite from theft, then aim the camera at the controlled approach; it adds eyes on the gate, not a substitute for locks, fence and the crew's closeout routine.

POWER adds two 400 W panels, a 3 kWh LFP battery and an inverter to any eligible office or storage unit. It runs Starlink, the camera, lights and laptops; a Base office that runs its mini-split all day still wants shore power.

READY adds a plan table, 2 chairs, whiteboard, mini-fridge, microwave and 1,500 W heater. JOLT PACK combines WATCH, CONNECT and POWER, while Grid-Free already includes all three and instead accepts READY, a second camera or unlimited Starlink.

Theft is excluded from the 12% damage waiver, and the other exclusions are listed in Rental Agreement §12. Security equipment improves visibility; it does not transfer the customer's risk of loss.

What does the full fleet cost delivered to Avon?

Rent only, plus applicable sales tax. Damage waiver 12% and environmental fee 5% are added to rent; delivery is by zone.

A 20 ft Base office for its 3-month minimum is $795/mo rent, $400 delivery and $400 pickup, plus the damage waiver and environmental fee on rent, plus sales tax. The $750 reservation deposit is applied to the first invoice rather than added as a second rental charge.

The 40 ft office with bathroom has an enclosed bathroom at the far end, mini-split heat and cooling, a 50-amp inlet, lights, outlets and vinyl-plank flooring. Confirm the 100 ft delivery lane before selecting it, especially on a divided or sloped parcel.

Traffic control ranges from a Basic package with 25 cones, 6 Type II barricades and 2 sign stands to Standard with 50 cones, 10 Type III barricades, 8 vertical panels, 4 sign stands and 2 flagger paddles. Full adds a solar arrow board and 2 flashing barricade lights; the project's traffic plan and local approvals determine what is appropriate.

Use the main pricing schedule to compare recurring and one-time charges, then review how rentals work with the site team. Rent is due for the full minimum term, then continues month to month until at least 15 days' written pickup notice and retrieval under Rental Agreement §3.

Rates increase 5% on each anniversary of delivery. Rent also continues until our truck retrieves the equipment, and a failed pickup caused by access, site conditions or a unit not being ready is charged under Rental Agreement §16.

How do you reserve a unit for an Avon job?

Reserve online or send the quote form further down the page, and include the ZIP, site contact, requested window, unit choice and placement notes. We apply the reservation deposit to the first invoice and confirm the delivery window by text.

Cancellation without charge requires written notice received more than 14 days before the first day of the delivery window under Rental Agreement §2. A cancellation within 14 days, or failure to accept delivery, forfeits the reservation deposit.
