A 10 ft storage container rents for $225/mo from our yard in Gypsum, plus a zone delivery fee, and reserves with a $350 deposit. It gives you half the floor of a 20 ft storage container in a box made for a constrained placement.

This is the lowest-rent container in the JOLT fleet. If you need a little more room while keeping a man door and barred window on the long side, compare the 12 ft tight-site container.

The useful distinction is access, not just capacity. A short box can share a residential driveway with the homeowner's cars, tuck into an alley lot or serve an infill site where the longer box would take over the working lane; the 12 ft sibling is the next step when those extra two feet improve the tool layout.

What problem does the 10 ft container solve?

The 10 ft container is a walk-in storage room for sites where a standard-length container will not fit. It is 10 ft long, 8 ft wide and standard height, with a man door and one barred window on a long side and cargo doors at the end. The floor is half the area of a 20 ft box, so treat it as a compact room rather than a general material warehouse.

That footprint works well during a residential remodel. The superintendent can keep boxed fixtures, cordless tools and finish materials under one roof while leaving part of the driveway usable for the owner. Set the pedestrian side toward the daily path and reserve the end-door approach for larger loads.

An alley lot presents a different problem. Delivery and daily use both compete with dumpsters, utility poles, fences and neighboring access. The shorter shell reduces the length occupied after placement, but it does not erase the truck's need for a clear, straight approach.

On an infill project, the box can become the controlled handoff point between delivery and installation. Crews can bring in small lots rather than spreading parts through the building. That helps the superintendent keep the egress route and active work face clear without claiming space the project does not have.

Resort employee housing rehabs also benefit from a small walk-in box. Occupied parking, snow storage and resident circulation often leave only one practical staging pocket. A compact container keeps tools outside living areas while the man door avoids swinging the broad cargo doors into a traveled lane for every visit.

What does the monthly rental include?

The published rent is $225/mo. The reservation deposit is $350, and it holds a specific unit and delivery window before being applied to the first invoice under Rental Agreement §2. Delivery is separate because our truck's distance from Gypsum changes by zone.

The rental includes the container itself, standard height on a 10 ft by 8 ft footprint, the walk-in man door, one barred window on the long side and the end cargo doors. The minimum term is one month; after that you are month to month. Sales tax, the 12% damage waiver (or the deposit-and-insurance alternative) and the 5% environmental fee are separate lines on the invoice.

Rent begins when the unit is delivered, not when you reserve it. After the minimum, it continues month to month until you provide the required written notice and our truck retrieves the unit. The annual rate adjustment and notice rules are in Rental Agreement §3.

Use the published pricing when the job has more than one equipment line. It lets the project manager compare storage, offices and support equipment before issuing a purchase order; the availability badge at the top of this page is the only place to check whether a unit is free.

How do the small storage choices compare?

Choose by workflow before comparing the rate. With the 10 ft and 12 ft you are paying for the fitted walk-in door and window; with the plain 20 ft you are paying for floor. A crew that goes in and out all day usually values the man door more than square footage it never fills.

What is included, and what is an upgrade?

The man door changes how this container works. One person can retrieve a saw case or carton without opening the cargo end and exposing the whole room. The barred window provides daylight and a view out, but the bars are not a substitute for controlling keys, keeping an inventory or securing valuable cases.

The end cargo doors remain useful for mobilization. Load shelving, rolling chests and bulky material through the broad opening before the container becomes crowded. Keep the interior aisle open so workers can reach both exits without climbing over stock.

The standard rental does not include internet service, a camera system or solar power. Those are separate recurring upgrades fitted by JOLT, and the hardware remains ours. Add them only when they solve an actual operating problem.

WATCH costs $129/mo and mounts a solar LTE panoramic camera on the unit. It provides motion alerts and cloud clips, subject to sky view, weather, LTE service and the account settings. The customer handles required recording notices and consents under Rental Agreement §13.

POWER costs $399/mo. Its two 400 W panels, 3 kWh LFP battery and inverter can support lights, laptops, a camera and Starlink, but not HVAC. It suits a small tool room where crews need charging or task lighting and permanent service is not practical.

JOLT retains title to the container and upgrade hardware. The use rules prohibit cutting, drilling, welding, painting, stacking and removing JOLT equipment or signage. Review Rental Agreement §7 with the foreman before the first crew starts arranging the room.

How much space should you reserve for the box?

The external footprint is 10 ft by 8 ft, but the placement plan needs more than an 80 sq ft rectangle. Leave room to open the man door, work the cargo doors and walk around the unit. Do not place the window against a wall if the crew expects to use the light or view.

Compared with the 12 ft container, the 10 ft model gives back two feet of site length. Compared with the 20 ft storage container, it uses half the floor area and can occupy locations where the standard box will not fit. That is why it is often the right first check for driveways, alley lots and dense rehabs.

The truck still needs a straight approach. A 20 ft delivery calls for about 70 ft of straight-line clearance, and the 10 ft box needs less, but JOLT does not publish one shorter number because gates, turns, grades, overhead obstructions and the intended door orientation change the move. At reservation, send the actual address and placement details; JOLT will tell you whether the spot works.

Read how much delivery space a container needs before marking a pad. Check the approach from the public road to the set point, not only the final rectangle. Parked vehicles, dumpsters, scaffolding, tree limbs, eaves, power lines and temporary utilities can stop a delivery even when the box itself fits.

The surface must be firm, level and well drained. A slope is not corrected by choosing a shorter container, and soft fill can rut under the truck or settle under the unit. Maintain drainage away from the doors and keep the roof, access route and door swings free of snow, ice and debris.

Local permission is part of site planning. The customer is responsible for permits, zoning, HOA rules and owner or landlord approval. Review Colorado container permits and placing a container on Denver property before calling the authority with jurisdiction.

Have utilities located and marked before our truck arrives. Select the final orientation and mark the corners, then make sure the authorized site representative understands which side needs the man door. Placement directed by the customer remains the customer's responsibility, including site damage caused by that direction.

How does delivery from Gypsum work?

Start through reserve with the job address, requested window and a clear description of the set point. JOLT assigns the delivery zone from the location and confirms the unit, upgrades and schedule in writing. Our truck carries the container from the Gypsum yard and places it where your representative directs.

For Avon and Beaver Creek, the published Zone A fee is Zone A — $400 each way. Frisco is in Zone C, while Evergreen and Littleton are in Zone E. Use the delivery-zone table rather than estimating mileage from the yard.

The delivery fee is set by zone and charged for delivery and again for pickup. In Zones A through E, pickup equals the original delivery fee; Zone F pickup is quoted in writing and Zone F placements carry a 12-month minimum. If a superintendent later asks JOLT to reposition the container on the same site, the published relocation fee is $450; the customer may not move or lift the unit independently.

A failed delivery trip is charged under Rental Agreement §5. Avoid it by checking gate access, road restrictions and overhead clearance before dispatch, not while the driver waits. If conditions change after a storm or another trade blocks the lane, contact the yard before the scheduled trip.

What does the crew need to manage during the rental?

Control access as you would for a site room. Assign keys, keep an inventory of high-value tools and close both the man door and cargo doors when the room is unattended. WATCH can add visibility, but it does not transfer the customer's risk of loss or replace jobsite procedures.

The customer bears risk from delivery through retrieval. The damage waiver is 12% of rent and recurring upgrades, subject to a deductible and exclusions. Theft, vandalism, unauthorized relocation, snow-load neglect and upgrade hardware are excluded; the waiver is not insurance.

The contractual alternative is a refundable deposit equal to one month's rent plus a certificate of insurance under Rental Agreement §10. Review that choice before delivery. Do not assume a camera or barred window changes the insurance requirements.

Keep prohibited materials out. The container is not for hazardous materials, residence or overnight sleeping, and crews may not cut, drill, weld or paint the shell.

What happens when the job is ready for pickup?

Give at least 15 days' written notice and propose a retrieval window. Rent continues until our truck retrieves the container, so notice by itself does not end billing. Follow the process in how it works and Rental Agreement §16.

Empty the unit completely. Remove the customer's locks, shelves, loose material and trash, and return the interior clean. Property left inside is deemed abandoned, and customer attachments can prevent the driver from loading safely.

Restore access to the same standard required for delivery. Clear parked cars, stored material and snow from the approach, and make sure the ground will support the truck. A failed pickup trip is charged, and rent continues until a successful retrieval.

Do not lift or move the box to make pickup easier. If the site sequence requires an earlier on-site move, schedule JOLT's relocation service and keep the new position accessible. Our truck should be the equipment that moves the unit.

For Zones A through E, pickup costs the same as delivery. The route and town remain tied to the published zone schedule. Confirm the pickup address if the project has multiple entrances or if street access changed during construction.
