Delivery to Vail is Zone B$550 each way for the 36-mile run east from our Gypsum yard. Vail projects usually need private-lot staging, winter office heat and close coordination around town restrictions; compare every product family in the price table near the end.

Can a container go in Vail Village or Lionshead?

Vail Village and Lionshead are pedestrian cores, not open laydown yards. The Town of Vail publishes a Weekly Construction Update covering active projects, delivery restrictions in the pedestrian villages, right-of-way staging and no-work days tied to holidays or special events.

Ask the town's Construction Area Coordinator about current project restrictions before selecting a delivery window. Morning windows can be set for specific projects, and an earlier project approval does not establish a standing delivery time for every site.

Do not plan on-street staging without town coordination. Most practical Vail placements land on approved private lots along the frontage roads or in West Vail and East Vail, where the truck can enter, align and leave without occupying a pedestrian lane.

Private property still needs a firm, level and well-drained pad. It also needs clear truck access, marked utilities, overhead clearance and the property, HOA or landlord approvals that apply to the parcel.

Measure the complete unloading movement rather than the visible box footprint. A 20 ft unit requires about 70 ft of straight-line clearance and a 40 ft unit requires about 100 ft under Rental Agreement §5.

The town update can include event and holiday no-work days; a summer update, for example, listed Labor Day weekend and August festival dates in Vail Village and Lionshead. Check the current notice rather than repeating an old calendar when reserving a truck.

How do the 7-to-7 limits shape a truck day?

Town of Vail code section 5-1-7(F)(3) allows construction equipment to operate on residential, commercial, industrial or public premises between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. During those hours it may not exceed 90 decibels, and outside those hours construction-equipment noise is not exempt.

Our delivery plan must also fit the project's own restrictions, town coordination and safe road conditions. A legal townwide hour does not override a pedestrian-village window, an event blackout or a private property's access rule.

Assign one representative who can meet the driver, open access and direct placement. Conflicting instructions from a superintendent, property manager and trade foreman can consume a narrow window even when the route is clear.

A failed delivery caused by access, site conditions, weather or no representative incurs the delivery fee for that trip and the next attempt. Clear the lane for the full window, not just the estimated arrival time, because I-70 and mountain weather can change travel timing.

Which route does our truck use from Gypsum?

Each delivery starts at our Gypsum yard and runs east on I-70. West Vail commonly uses Exit 173, Main Vail uses Exit 176 and East Vail uses Exit 180, while the North and South Frontage Roads parallel the interstate through town.

The route is 36 miles to Vail, with the address determining the final exit and approach. Vail Pass, at 10,662 ft, is east of town and not on our route; a Gypsum truck arrives from the west, so a pass closure delays Front Range traffic, not our delivery.

The standard delivery window is 2–4 weeks from reservation. JOLT Express places only the 20 ft Base office on-site within 7 business days for $750; storage, Grid-Free, Alpine and 40 ft offices use the standard window.

I-70 runs east-west through the valley and can experience weather or incident closures. We confirm the window by text and do not promise a precise delivery date before route and site conditions are known.

Work in neighboring Avon, Beaver Creek, Edwards, Eagle and Minturn follows its own address and zone. The Colorado locations list covers the served towns, while delivery zones explains the ZIP-based fee.

What size fits Vail's private lots?

Tight residential drives favor a short unit, while commercial staging areas may support a standard or long box. Preserve snow storage, fire access, trade parking and the eventual retrieval lane before using every available foot.

The 10 ft storage container has half the floor of a 20 ft unit and is intended for spots where the longer box will not fit. It has a walk-in man door, a barred side window and cargo doors at the end.

Step up to the 12 ft storage container for an 8 ft wide, standard-height walk-in tool crib. Its man door and barred side window support daily issue traffic, while the end cargo doors handle larger material.

The 20 ft storage container is a one-trip standard-height ISO box with cargo doors, 4 lock bars and a welded lockbox. It has no windows or man door, so it works best for controlled material storage rather than continuous walk-in office use.

A 40 ft high-cube storage container stands 9 ft 6 in tall and offers twice the floor of the 20 ft box. Its 3-month minimum and roughly 100 ft delivery lane suit longer phases on larger private parcels, not a short village drive.

For a larger approved pad, the 40 ft office with bathroom adds an enclosed bathroom at the far end. It retains mini-split heating and cooling, shore power, lights, outlets and vinyl-plank flooring, while demanding the 40 ft truck lane.

What keeps a Vail office working through winter?

Vail's elevation is 8,239 ft per USGS GNIS. Snow falls roughly November through April, and cold operation depends on power, access and crew routines as much as the selected office.

The 20 ft office family provides the compact field-room platform for Base, Grid-Free and Alpine. The Alpine office adds backup heat, matte black finish, cedar surrounds, a standing-seam over-roof and covered entry deck to the Base features. Exterior work in Vail can face design review, so confirm the placement and appearance with the town; the finish is an argument for approval, not the approval itself.

Read whether crews can work in a container office in winter and how container offices are insulated. Those answers help assign power checks, entry clearing and startup tasks before a cold shift.

Clear snow and ice from the office, doors and access route. Keep plow storage away from the straight pickup lane, and maintain drainage so freeze-thaw cycles do not undermine the level pad.

A ground heater is a trailer-mounted hydronic thaw and concrete-curing unit with insulated hose on a reel. Position the trailer outside traffic flow and protect the hose route during shoulder-season or winter work.

Short daylight can support a case for a light tower within approved working hours. Its mast reaches about 30 ft and carries 4 LED floodlights above a generator cabinet on a single-axle trailer.

Use temporary fence to define an approved work area where the site plan calls for it. The galvanized chain-link panels are 6 ft tall by 10 ft wide with steel stands and clamps, and installation and removal are charged by linear foot.

A portable hand-wash station can accompany any unit or be ordered alone. Keep it accessible for service without putting it in the snowplow line or narrowing the office entry.

Should the office use shore power or Grid-Free systems?

Use Base when a verified 50-amp shore-power source is ready at the pad. Choose the Grid-Free office when the early phase lacks shore power, since its 10 kWh battery runs HVAC and WATCH, CONNECT and POWER are built in.

POWER adds two 400 W panels, a 3 kWh LFP battery and an inverter to another office or storage box. It runs cameras, Starlink, lights and laptops; a Base office that runs its mini-split all day still wants shore power.

CONNECT provides Starlink Mini, a router and 50 GB Roam. Check sky view around steep terrain, trees and neighboring structures before orienting the office, since mountain placement can affect service.

WATCH provides a solar LTE camera with motion alerts and cloud clips. Review the construction-site security camera guide, then place the camera to observe the actual controlled approach.

Theft remains excluded from the damage waiver. Camera service adds visibility and notice, but it does not replace locks, access control, closeout checks or the customer's responsibility for loss.

READY adds a plan table, 2 chairs, whiteboard, mini-fridge, microwave and 1,500 W heater. JOLT PACK groups WATCH, CONNECT and POWER, though Grid-Free already includes all three and can instead take READY, a second camera or unlimited Starlink.

Do not set solar equipment beneath a roof edge that sheds snow. Keep future scaffolding, material stacks and equipment parking out of the camera view and available sky exposure.

Which Vail offices issue permits and site direction?

Vail is a home rule town in Eagle County with a 2020 census population of 4,835. The Town of Vail Community Development Department's Building Department issues building, electrical, plumbing, mechanical and fire permits through an online portal, per the town website.

The town also uses design review for exterior work. Ask the Building Department and design-review staff what applies to the exact parcel and proposed placement, and coordinate any right-of-way staging with the town.

The customer is responsible for all permits, zoning, HOA and landlord approvals under Rental Agreement §5. Mark utilities, supply a designated representative and obtain approvals before delivery rather than asking the driver to resolve jurisdiction questions at the curb.

Eagle County has adopted the 2021 International Codes and the 2023 National Electrical Code through its Building Resolution, per the county website. That resolution references the Structural Engineers Association of Colorado's Colorado Design Snow Loads study; use the applicable review for the project instead of importing a roof-load number from another address.

The Colorado snow-load guide for container structures gives the planning framework. It does not replace the Town of Vail's decision for a specific project.

Traffic control packages can supply 25 cones, 6 Type II barricades and 2 sign stands in Basic, or 50 cones, 10 Type III barricades, 8 vertical panels, 4 sign stands and 2 flagger paddles in Standard. Full adds a solar arrow board and 2 flashing barricade lights, but the package does not itself authorize right-of-way staging.

Rent only, plus applicable sales tax. Damage waiver 12% and environmental fee 5% are added to rent; delivery is by zone.

A 20 ft Base office for the 3-month minimum is $795/mo rent, $550 delivery and $550 pickup, plus the 12% damage waiver and 5% environmental fee on rent, plus sales tax. Its $750 deposit reserves the unit and window and is applied to the first invoice.

The waiver is charged on rent plus recurring upgrades, with theft excluded. The alternative is a refundable deposit of one month's rent plus a certificate of insurance, and Rental Agreement §12 states the exclusions.

The published pricing schedule separates rent, upgrades and trip charges. Review how it works before assigning the person who reserves, the person who meets the truck and the person who requests pickup.

Rent is due for the full minimum term under Rental Agreement §3. It then continues month to month until at least 15 days' written pickup notice and retrieval, and rates rise 5% on each delivery anniversary.

Do not move or tow a unit yourself. If the site sequence changes, an on-site relocation by our truck is $450, subject to safe access at the new pad.

How do you reserve a Vail unit?

Submit the reservation form, or the quote form further down the page, with the ZIP, Vail exit, access photos, town restrictions and site representative. We apply the deposit to the first invoice and confirm the delivery window by text.

Written cancellation received more than 14 days before the window's first day is without charge under Rental Agreement §2. Later cancellation or failure to accept delivery forfeits the deposit, while rent at the end continues until retrieval and a failed pickup is charged under Rental Agreement §16.
