Every JOLT unit ships inside a 2–4 week window you choose at reservation, from our own yard on I-70 at Gypsum, on our own truck. You pick the unit, pay the deposit and prepare the pad; we fit the unit, set it where you mark it, bill it monthly and come back for it when the job is done.
What happens when you reserve?
Start with the equipment the job needs, not a generic quote request. The rental fleet includes storage containers, office containers, temporary fence, light towers, ground heaters, traffic control and hand-wash stations. Each product page states the monthly rate, minimum term, deposit and included equipment. The published pricing page puts those lines in one place if you are comparing several units.
For an office, decide whether the job needs the 20 ft Base office, a Grid-Free or Alpine configuration, or the 40 ft office with a bathroom. Then enter the job ZIP so the correct delivery zone is attached to the reservation. Pick an available window and select any upgrades that should be fitted before the unit leaves the yard.
You can use any of the four contact paths that are live. Reserve online, call 970-279-1015, email reserve@joltrents.com, or send the four-field form on the contact page. The form asks for your name, mobile number, what you need and job ZIP, then shows the price sheet when submitted. During business hours, Monday through Friday from 7am–7pm Mountain Time, we respond within 15 minutes.
The reservation is confirmed after the deposit is paid. We email the unit, selected upgrades and delivery window back to you so your field team has the same plan as the person who reserved it. The deposit holds a specific unit and window. It is not stacked on top of the first invoice; it is credited against that invoice when the unit arrives. Section 2 of the Rental Agreement Terms governs reservations, deposits, cancellation and availability.
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
Office / 40 ft | $750 deposit |
Storage (10 ft, 12 ft, 20 ft) | $350 deposit |
Temporary fence | $500 deposit |
Light tower | $500 deposit |
Ground heater | $1,000 deposit |
Traffic control | $350 deposit |
Hand-wash station (ordered alone) | $85 deposit |
Applied to the first invoice. Cancel free of charge, in writing, more than 14 days before the first day of the delivery window.
Deposits follow the equipment, not the delivery zone. Offices and 40 ft storage use the office and 40 ft line. The 10 ft, 12 ft and 20 ft storage units use the smaller-storage line. Fence, towers, heaters, traffic control and a hand-wash station ordered alone each have their own listed deposit. That makes the amount visible before you commit.
These are the four operating steps from reservation through return:
Reserve
Pick the unit on its product page, pay the reservation deposit, and choose a 2–4 week delivery window.Deliver
Our truck brings the unit from Gypsum and sets it where you mark it, on blocks if the ground needs it.Upgrade
Add WATCH, CONNECT, POWER or READY at any point; each bills monthly with the rent.Pickup
Give 15 days' written notice when the job is done; we retrieve the empty, accessible unit and close the account.
Before submitting, check the minimum term against the schedule. Offices and the 40 ft storage container carry a 3-month minimum. Other storage sizes, fence and equipment carry a 1-month minimum. Zone F placements in Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Montana carry a 12-month minimum. After the applicable minimum, the rental continues month to month until proper pickup notice and retrieval.
How fast can JOLT deliver?
The standard delivery window is 2–4 weeks from reservation for every unit. A window gives the yard time to assign the equipment, fit selected kits, check the unit and build the truck schedule around mountain roads and active jobsites. Your reservation states the window; do not treat a day discussed before confirmation as the final schedule.
JOLT Express is a separate option for the Base 20 ft office only. For $750, paid at reservation in addition to the zone fee, that Base office is on site within 7 business days. Express does not apply to storage, Grid-Free, Alpine, the 40 ft bathroom office, fence or equipment. If the Base office is not the right unit, use the standard window for the unit that actually fits the work.
| Schedule | Standard | JOLT Express |
|---|---|---|
| Window | 2–4 weeks from reservation | On site within 7 business days |
| Eligible units | Every rental unit | Base 20 ft office only |
| Fee | Published delivery-zone fee | $750 plus the delivery-zone fee |
| When paid | Delivery fee appears on the first invoice | Express fee is paid at reservation |
Express changes timing, not the site requirements or delivery fee. The same truck still needs safe access, the same representative still needs to be present, and the unit still comes from Gypsum. Check the live availability shown for the Base office before relying on that option. Availability is tied to the fleet; if no Base is open for the requested timing, we give you the real next window rather than creating urgency.
If your schedule can use the standard window, reserve as soon as the job address and site plan are stable. That leaves time to verify access, permits, utility locations and placement before dispatch. It also leaves time to add WATCH, CONNECT, POWER or READY in the yard rather than changing the truck load on delivery morning.

What does your site need before the truck arrives?
The site must be firm, level and well drained, with enough bearing surface for the equipment. Pick the placement before the truck arrives. The driver can set the unit where your representative directs, but delivery day is not the time to discover that the marked corner is soft fill, holds runoff or blocks the next construction phase.
Access needs a clear path for a tilt-bed or flatbed truck. A 20 ft unit needs about 70 ft of straight-line clearance. A 40 ft unit needs about 100 ft. Those lengths are working clearance, not container length. The route also needs adequate road width, turning radius, grade and overhead clearance. Look for eaves, trees, power lines, temporary utilities, gate posts, parked equipment and material piles.
| 20 ft unit | About 70 ft straight-line truck clearance |
|---|---|
| 40 ft unit | About 100 ft straight-line truck clearance |
| Placement surface | Firm, level, well drained and capable of supporting the unit |
| Truck route | Adequate overhead clearance, road width, turning radius and grade |
| Utilities | Underground and overhead utilities located and marked |
| Before arrival | Permits and consents secured; representative ready at the site |
Locate and mark underground and overhead utilities before dispatch. Secure the permits, zoning approval, HOA consent, landlord approval or other permission your site requires. JOLT supplies rental equipment; you control the property and the placement decision. A designated representative must be on site to direct the driver.
Read section 5 of the Rental Agreement Terms for the requirements that govern the delivery. The mountain-access guide covers truck approach and clearance in more detail. The jobsite setup checklist gives the field team a practical pre-delivery pass.
Walk the route from the public road to the pad. Do not check only the pad itself. If the truck cannot turn through the gate, clear the roofline or exit after setting the unit, a good pad does not solve the delivery. Call 970-279-1015 or email reserve@joltrents.com with an access concern before the truck rolls.
What happens on delivery day?
Our truck leaves the yard at 60 Spring Creek Rd in Gypsum with the reserved unit and the kits assigned to it. Your representative meets the driver, confirms the marked placement and keeps the route clear. We position the unit where you direct and use blocks if the ground needs them. Delivery is a placement, not permission to skip the firm, level and well-drained surface required before arrival.
After the unit is set, walk around it with the driver. Confirm the exterior condition, doors, windows, keys and any installed upgrades. For an office, verify the intended side for the personnel door and the route to shore power if the unit uses it. For storage, make sure the cargo doors have room to open and remain reachable after materials arrive.
Rent starts on delivery. That date begins the Rental Period. The first invoice includes the first month's rent, the applicable delivery fee, one-time items and recurring upgrades, less the reservation deposit already paid. Sales tax is added according to the job address. Published prices are pre-tax because the correct tax depends on that address.
Delivery and pickup are separate truck moves. In Colorado Zones A–E, the published zone amount applies each way: once for delivery and again for pickup. Zone F works differently: the published amount covers delivery, pickup is quoted in writing before delivery, and the placement has a 12-month minimum. Use the delivery-zone table to check the job town before reserving.
Once the walk-around is complete and keys are handed over, the unit is yours to use for the Rental Period. Report damage, a malfunction, a leak or a missing item promptly by calling or emailing JOLT. Do not cut, drill, weld, paint or move a unit to solve a field problem.
How do you add an upgrade after delivery?
Call 970-279-1015 or email reserve@joltrents.com and state the unit, site and upgrade you need. Eligible container offices and storage containers can take JOLT Upgrades. Temporary fence, light towers, ground heaters, traffic-control packages and hand-wash stations do not take them.
WATCH adds a solar LTE panoramic camera with its own SIM, motion alerts, cloud clips and night vision. CONNECT adds a Starlink Mini on the roof, a router inside and a 50 GB Roam plan. POWER adds two 400 W panels, a 3 kWh LFP battery and an inverter for the camera, Starlink, LED lights, laptops and phones. It does not run the mini-split. READY adds the plan table, two chairs, whiteboard wall, mini-fridge, microwave and backup wall heater.
The kit can be selected at reservation, at delivery or during a later month. When you add one after delivery, we coordinate the kit work with the next truck visit that can serve the site. The new recurring line starts on the next invoice. There is no new rental contract for adding the upgrade.
Upgrade hardware remains JOLT property. It bolts onto the container and comes off when the unit returns. Do not move the camera, roof rack, satellite equipment, battery hardware or furnishings to another unit. Section 13 of the Rental Agreement Terms covers upgrade ownership, connectivity, power and camera responsibilities.
Dependencies still apply during the rental. A second camera requires WATCH or the JOLT Pack. Unlimited Starlink requires CONNECT or the Pack. Grid-Free already has WATCH, CONNECT and POWER built in and can take READY, a second camera and unlimited Starlink. Tell us what outcome you need before asking for a specific kit; that prevents adding POWER when the real need is to run the mini-split.

How does billing work month to month?
Auto-pay is required by card or ACH. Billing runs monthly in advance, with one invoice per unit. Base rent and each recurring upgrade appear as separate lines, so a superintendent or project accountant can see exactly what is active. Delivery, Express, branding, relocation and other one-time work appear when incurred rather than being hidden in rent.
You choose one of two protection paths at reservation. The damage waiver is 12% of monthly rent plus recurring upgrades. The alternative is a refundable security deposit equal to one month's rent plus a certificate of insurance meeting section 10 of the Rental Agreement Terms, which names the parties and the limits. The waiver's deductible and exclusions are in section 12 of the Rental Agreement Terms; read the section itself, because it governs.
The environmental fee is 5% of rent plus recurring upgrades. It is not compounded on the damage waiver. Rates increase 5% on each anniversary of the delivery date unless the Order says otherwise. A job that ends before its first anniversary does not reach that scheduled increase.
The protection explanation on pricing lays out those recurring percentages together. Review it before reserving if your company plans to use its own insurance. The certificate and loss-payee requirement need to be settled before delivery, not after the truck is already on the road.
Minimum terms are enforced even if the unit is requested for early pickup. Offices and 40 ft units have a 3-month minimum under the standard terms; the smaller storage units, fence and equipment have a 1-month minimum. Zone F has a 12-month minimum. After the minimum, renewal is automatic month to month until you provide the required written notice and JOLT retrieves the equipment. Section 3 is the governing term and renewal language.
If an invoice contact changes, email the correction while the rental is active. Keep a valid payment method on file. The invoice is organized around the unit because rent, protection and upgrades all follow that piece of equipment through its placement.
What happens at pickup?
Give at least 15 days' written notice by emailing reserve@joltrents.com. State the unit and site so we can place the retrieval into the truck schedule. Notice does not end rent by itself. The Rental Period and rent continue until JOLT retrieves the equipment.
Before pickup, remove your tools, records, trash, locks and attachments. The unit must be empty, clean and accessible. Clear the same truck route used for delivery, including straight-line working room, turning space and overhead clearance. Snow, stored materials or a new phase of construction can change access even when the original delivery was easy.
Do not disconnect, remove or relocate JOLT upgrade hardware. We take those kits off as part of return processing. Keep keys and supplied accessories with the unit. For fence and equipment, gather the rented pieces where the truck can safely reach them.
The pickup charge follows the delivery zone for Zones A–E and is billed as a separate each-way move. Zone F pickup is the written amount provided before delivery. Rent runs until retrieval, so make the unit ready for the scheduled truck. If access or site conditions stop pickup, the account remains open and another truck trip is required.
Section 16 of the Rental Agreement Terms states the pickup and return duties. It also explains what happens when property is left inside or the truck cannot retrieve the equipment. Treat the pickup route as a delivery route in reverse: inspect it early, assign a representative and keep the equipment reachable.
After retrieval, JOLT closes the rental account after return processing and any final invoice lines. If another phase still needs the unit, do not request pickup merely because the original minimum term ended. Month-to-month renewal lets the placement continue without a new reservation.
What if something changes mid-job?
A schedule change before delivery is easiest to handle early. You may cancel without charge by written notice received more than 14 days before the first day of the delivery window. Inside 14 days, the reservation deposit is forfeited. Email reserve@joltrents.com so there is a written record tied to the reservation.
If the placement point changes after delivery, do not move the container yourself. On-site relocation with our truck is $450 per move. Call or email with the new spot and confirm that it meets the same surface, utility and access requirements. Unauthorized movement can damage the unit or site and void the damage waiver.
If the project runs longer, the rental automatically continues month to month after the minimum term. You do not need a new contract just because the finish date moved. Keep paying monthly in advance, and give at least 15 days' written pickup notice when the revised completion date is firm.
If the job needs another capability, add an eligible upgrade instead of improvising a field modification. WATCH can add site visibility. CONNECT can add internet. POWER can support low-draw work equipment but not the office mini-split. READY can furnish the office. The JOLT Pack combines WATCH, CONNECT and POWER on one monthly line.
If the requested unit is out of stock, the availability badge reads Waitlist and we tell you the real next window. We do not manufacture urgency. You can wait for that unit, choose another configuration that fits the work, or call to discuss the schedule. If we cannot supply a reserved unit, section 2 of the Rental Agreement Terms allows a substitute of equal or greater specification at the same price or a full refund of the deposit.
Use the FAQ for short answers across products, zones and terms. For an active reservation or rental, call 970-279-1015 or email reserve@joltrents.com. For a new job, use Reserve or the four-field contact form. Give the actual job ZIP and site constraints so the answer comes back against the right zone and truck access.
Questions contractors ask
How fast can JOLT deliver?
Standard delivery is a 2–4 week window from reservation. JOLT Express puts a Base 20 ft office on site within 7 business days for $750.
Can I cancel a reservation?
Yes. Send written notice more than 14 days before the first day of your delivery window for a full deposit refund; inside 14 days, the deposit is forfeited.
When does rent start?
Rent starts on the delivery date, not the reservation date. The Rental Period continues until JOLT retrieves the unit.
Is the reservation deposit an extra charge?
No. The reservation deposit holds a specific unit and delivery window, then it is applied to your first invoice.
Can I add an upgrade after the unit is delivered?
Yes. Call or email to add an eligible upgrade during the rental, and it will bill monthly with the rent without a new contract.
How much notice does JOLT need for pickup?
Give at least 15 days' written notice. The unit must be empty, clean and accessible when our truck arrives.

Do not move it yourself. Ask JOLT to make the on-site relocation with our truck so the unit, site and damage-waiver terms stay protected.
How do I contact JOLT about a current rental?
Call 970-279-1015 or email reserve@joltrents.com. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 7am–7pm Mountain Time.
