Mobile Mini has been part of WillScot since 2020, and its brand was folded into the WillScot name in 2024, so a search for Mobile Mini now lands on WillScot's storage-container and ground-level-office lines. This comparison sets those lines beside JOLT's four storage sizes and 20 ft container offices, starting with JOLT's 20 ft storage rent of $295/mo.

What happened to Mobile Mini?
The name remains a common search term, but the corporate and product path has changed. WillScot and Mobile Mini completed their merger on July 1, 2020 (investors.willscot.com news release, July 1, 2020). Four years later, WillScot said it would combine all brands, including Mobile Mini, under the WillScot name (investors.willscot.com news release, July 29, 2024).
The old Mobile Mini domain redirects to WillScot's site as of September 2026. A customer searching for a Mobile Mini storage box or ground-level office should expect to evaluate a WillScot product and quote, not a separate Mobile Mini offer. That distinction prevents an estimator from looking for current terms under a retired customer-facing brand.
WillScot's site presents storage containers and ground-level offices among a broader group of products (willscot.com, home page, accessed September 2026). This comparison stays with those two ground-level lines because they overlap directly with JOLT's four storage lengths and 20 ft container offices. Mobile office trailers and modular complexes are outside the intended equipment scope.
JOLT is a smaller regional alternative, not a national replacement for every WillScot product. We operate from one yard in Gypsum and serve defined zones across the Rocky Mountain West. The narrower scope gives a superintendent a published set of container sizes, rates, delivery areas and upgrades to test against the job.
Which storage box fits the work?
JOLT's storage range starts with a 10 ft container, an 8 ft-wide standard-height box with cargo doors, plus a man door and one barred window on the long side. It has half the floor of a 20 ft container. This size suits a constrained laydown area when material volume is secondary to daily access.
The 12 ft storage container uses the same access pattern: cargo doors on the end, a man door and one barred window on the long side. Its extra length creates a middle choice without jumping to 20 ft. Both smaller units should be selected from the actual pad and inventory workflow, not from length alone.
JOLT's 20 ft storage container is a one-trip, standard-height ISO shell. It has cargo doors with four lock bars and a welded lockbox, with no windows and no man door. It is the direct choice when a crew wants conventional end-door loading and does not need daily personnel-door access.
The 40 ft storage container is a one-trip high-cube ISO box, 9 ft 6 in tall, with cargo doors and a welded lockbox. It provides twice the floor of the 20 ft. Its longer truck-clearance requirement and three-month Colorado minimum need to be accepted before the extra floor becomes useful.

WillScot lists storage containers as a product family, and its navigation includes an online Rent a container path. The pages reviewed for this comparison do not give storage dimensions for that line. Ask the quote representative to identify the exact size, door arrangement and assigned configuration instead of assuming a former Mobile Mini product matches a JOLT box.
How do small offices compare?
JOLT's small office line begins with the Base 20 ft office at $795/mo. It is an 8 ft-wide, one-trip ISO container office with a 36-inch steel personnel door, two barred slider windows, mini-split heat and cooling, a 50-amp shore-power inlet, lights, outlets and vinyl-plank floor.
Base is intentionally unfurnished. It works when the job has shore power or a licensed electrician scheduled to connect through the provided inlet. It does not become a wide mobile trailer, and JOLT does not offer a smaller office footprint than 20 ft.
WillScot lists ground-level offices in 8 ft by 10 ft, 8 ft by 20 ft, 10 ft by 30 ft and 8 ft by 40 ft configurations. The first two are relevant when a buyer searches for a small former Mobile Mini office. WillScot's dimensional menu includes a shorter office than JOLT and a 10 ft-wide option JOLT does not carry.
For JOLT, the office tier can change while the 20 ft footprint stays fixed. Grid-Free includes the Base features, WATCH camera, CONNECT Starlink and POWER solar, plus a 10 kWh battery that operates its HVAC without shore power. Alpine includes Grid-Free and adds a mountain exterior, standing-seam over-roof, covered entry deck and backup heat.
What does JOLT publish before reservation?
JOLT displays monthly rents, delivery fees, reservation deposits, recurring fees and upgrade rates on its pricing page. The 10 ft storage unit rents for $225/mo, the 12 ft for $325/mo, the 20 ft for $295/mo and the 40 ft for $425/mo. Those are the current published monthly lines before other charges.
In Colorado, 10, 12 and 20 ft storage units have a one-month minimum. The 40 ft box and every office have a three-month minimum. Zone F placements in listed Wyoming, Idaho, Utah and Montana markets have a 12-month minimum on every unit.
The reservation deposit for a smaller storage box is $350, while 40 ft storage and offices use $750. It reserves a specific unit and delivery window, then applies to the first invoice. A customer who cancels in writing more than 14 days before the first day of that window receives a full refund under section 2.
Monthly invoices also carry the environmental fee at 5% of rent plus recurring upgrades. Customers may select the damage waiver at 12% of that base, subject to its deductible and exclusions, or provide a refundable deposit of one month's rent plus a certificate of insurance under section 10. Sales tax is additional.
WillScot's public product pages use request-a-quote paths and show no published prices, while its home page offers a custom quote. That fact says nothing about the final amount. Ask for a written scope and compare the same unit duration, transport, protection and taxes on both proposals.
The WillScot pages reviewed for this comparison do not state a minimum term, reservation deposit, cancellation rule, rate adjustment or pickup notice. Those items belong on the quote-review checklist. Treat them as unknown until the WillScot documents answer them, not as favorable or unfavorable assumptions.
How do delivery and pickup work?
JOLT dispatches from our yard on I-70 in Gypsum. The standard delivery window is 2–4 weeks from a confirmed reservation. The Express option is limited to an eligible Base 20 ft office; for $750, it is on site within 7 business days.
Storage containers do not qualify for Express. Schedule their placement from the standard window and actual site conditions.
For a 20 ft unit, plan on about 70 ft of straight-line truck clearance. A 40 ft unit needs about 100 ft. The pad must be firm, level and well drained; the approach also needs workable width, turning space, grade and overhead clearance. Mark utilities, secure permits and consents, and have a representative meet our truck under section 5.

JOLT lists the towns and charges for each zone on the delivery-zone page. Pickup equals delivery in Zones A through E. Zone F pickup is quoted in writing before delivery, which lets the order carry the known return arrangement before our truck starts the outbound trip.
WillScot has Colorado location pages for Denver and Commerce City (willscot.com, locations pages, accessed September 2026). The pages reviewed do not state its delivery timing or equipment method. Give WillScot the same address, route notes and placement drawing, then have its written quote define the delivery service for the specified container.
After JOLT's minimum term, give at least 15 days' written notice for pickup. Rent continues until retrieval. The box must be empty, clean, accessible and free of customer attachments, and property left inside is deemed abandoned under section 16.
Which storage upgrades solve field problems?
A storage box can carry the same four JOLT upgrade families as an office. WATCH adds a solar LTE panoramic camera, motion alerts and cloud clips for $129/mo. Tell the yard whether the desired view is the gate, approach or laydown side before the hardware is fitted.
WATCH does not replace locks, access control or a site security plan. LTE service depends on network coverage, weather and placement. The customer is responsible for notices, signs and consents required for recording, and cannot remove or disable JOLT cameras or telematics.
CONNECT adds a roof-mounted Starlink Mini, an inside router and a 50 GB Roam plan for $259/mo. It needs power and a useful view of the sky. Satellite service varies with third-party networks, obstructions and weather, so it is not a speed or uptime promise.
POWER adds two 400 W solar panels, a 3 kWh LFP battery and an inverter for $399/mo. Its supported loads are Starlink, the camera, LED lights, laptops and phones for about two days without sun when carrying only those loads. It does not run power tools, compressors, heaters or an office mini-split.
READY places a plan table, two chairs, whiteboard, mini-fridge, microwave and a 1,500 W backup heater inside for $125/mo. On storage, that package makes sense only when the box also serves a controlled desk or tool-crib function. It does not add internet, camera coverage or independent power.
All hardware remains JOLT property and returns with the container under section 13. Keep snow and ice off panels, dishes, cameras, doors and access paths. The WillScot pages reviewed do not describe corresponding camera, satellite, solar or furniture packages, so ask what its quoted unit includes.
Where does the WillScot network fit?
WillScot describes a North American operation with storage containers, mobile offices, ground-level offices, modular buildings and complexes. That range supports buyers who want categories beyond JOLT's storage and container-office offering or who procure across markets outside JOLT's defined zones.
Its online Rent a container navigation provides a direct path for storage inquiries, while product pages also direct customers to request a quote. Contractors already using WillScot in several regions may prefer that broader supplier relationship. They still need the specific written order terms for each site.
JOLT is the tighter fit when the requested box is one of its four storage lengths, the job sits in a published service zone, and the buyer wants visible rates and selectable systems before reserving. The limitation is real: one Gypsum yard serves the network, and JOLT's office floorplans are 20 and 40 ft container formats rather than a broad modular lineup.
How should the first order be compared?
Write the physical need first: storage length, access-door pattern, office footprint, shore-power status and intended placement. A 10 or 12 ft JOLT box offers a man door and barred window, while its 20 and 40 ft storage units use cargo-door access. Require any WillScot quote to identify its proposed configuration instead of relying on the Mobile Mini name.
Build one duration for both estimates. On JOLT, include rent, two truck legs, the deposit applied to the first invoice, recurring fees, selected upgrades and sales tax. On WillScot, use the written quote because public product pages do not state prices or the listed contract terms.
Test both delivery plans against the site. Use the truck-space answer to screen a JOLT approach, then ask each provider to confirm its own route and placement requirements. A lower-useful-area box or an inaccessible pad can erase the value of an otherwise workable proposal.
Read the closeout steps before issuing the order. JOLT requires proper written notice and access through retrieval, and its customer cannot move the unit. For WillScot, find the term, notice, pickup and rate-change language in the quote and agreement because the pages reviewed do not supply it.
If the JOLT size and service area fit, assemble the job ZIP, desired unit, upgrades, site contact and target window. Read how it works, then reserve the storage container. Our yard will confirm the assigned unit and delivery window from the actual order details.
