Start with a 20 ft Grid-Free office at $1,495/mo, a light tower at $1,250/mo and 40 ft storage at $425/mo. That oilfield office container rental gives the supervisor a pad office without shore power, lighting for night access and a separate box for tools, PPE, consumables and spill-response supplies.

What does a pad office have to do without shore power?

A well pad office needs heat and cooling, working lights, outlets, internet and a useful camera position without depending on an electrical service at placement. The Grid-Free office starts with the Base interior, then builds in WATCH monitoring, CONNECT satellite internet and POWER solar and battery equipment.

Its 10 kWh battery pack runs the HVAC, so no shore power is required. The separate light tower covers night work and approaches where a fixed office light does not reach, while the storage container keeps field supplies out of the workroom.

Choose the 20 ft Base office at $795/mo instead when the pad has dependable grid power and a licensed electrician can use its provided inlet. Base has a mini-split for heat and cooling, lights and outlets, but shore power is required.

A larger crew without facilities can use the 40 ft office with bathroom at $1,595/mo. It needs customer-provided water, sewer and electricity, so confirm those services before substituting it for the Grid-Free office.

Add a second WATCH camera at $60/mo when one view cannot cover both the office approach and the storage doors. Add BRAND logo graphics for $450 when the operator or contractor wants its logo on two sides of the office.

Keep work areas separate when choosing the three placement points. Put the office where the supervisor can reach it without crossing active equipment paths, aim the light tower from an approved operating area, and place storage where cargo doors can open without blocking traffic. The operator makes each of those layout decisions.

What does the kit cost per month?

Build the estimate line by line because term lengths and recurring upgrades differ. A typical working month carries the Grid-Free office at $1,495/mo, the light tower at $1,250/mo and the storage container at $425/mo.

For communications and monitoring, carry unlimited Starlink data at $75/mo and the second camera at $60/mo. Unlimited data requires CONNECT, and the second camera requires WATCH; both base services are already built into the Grid-Free office.

Reservation deposits are separate lines: $750 for the office, $500 for the tower and $750 for storage. Each deposit reserves its assigned unit and delivery window and applies to the first invoice.

A Grand Junction pad is Zone D — $950 each way. For a Zone F address, delivery is $1,795 and pickup is quoted separately, in writing, before delivery.

Add the 5% environmental fee and sales tax. Then choose the optional damage waiver at 12% of rent plus recurring upgrades, or provide the refundable deposit of one month's rent with a certificate of insurance; the insurance and waiver conditions are in Rental Agreement §10 and §12.

The estimator adds those lines for each assigned unit and address. Delivery, pickup and any BRAND work remain one-time lines, while rent, data, camera service, environmental fee and waiver recur.

Match the rental period to the field schedule before approving the estimate. The office and 40 ft storage each carry a 3-month minimum in Colorado, while the light tower has a 1-month minimum. Early pickup does not remove rent owed through an applicable minimum.

How does connectivity work on a pad?

Built-in CONNECT uses Starlink Roam and includes 50 GB of priority data. The $75/mo unlimited-data add-on is the choice when office use will exceed that allowance; the construction-site Starlink cost answer separates rent, included data and the add-on.

The dish needs a useful view of the sky. Terrain, weather, the satellite network, power and local obstructions affect service, and JOLT does not promise uptime, speed, coverage or capacity under Rental Agreement §13.

WATCH is an LTE panoramic camera with motion alerts and cloud clips. It needs cellular coverage at the selected camera position, so satellite service at the desk does not prove that WATCH has an LTE connection.

Decide camera views before our truck places the office. The customer is responsible for required recording notices, signage and consents, and should identify any part of the pad that must stay outside the view.

Before reservation, ask the field lead what will use the network and whether priority data is sufficient. Office laptops, file transfers and video activity draw from the same included allowance, so choose the unlimited add-on from expected work rather than waiting for a busy reporting cycle.

The power plan needs the same load review. Grid-Free is the specified choice here because its battery runs the HVAC, while the standard POWER package is intended for Starlink, a camera, lights and laptops and does not run office HVAC. Do not plan an unpowered Base office around the smaller POWER package.

Where can the office sit on the pad?

The operator's pad layout and its own safety rules decide the distance from the wellhead, tanks and flowlines. JOLT makes no representation that a unit meets a classified-location or any other site-specific code requirement, as stated in Rental Agreement §18.

Give JOLT the placement point selected by the operator, along with the approach and exit route for our truck. The customer remains responsible for permits, approvals, utility marks and site compliance; JOLT places the unit where the customer directs.

Do not store or use fuel, chemicals, or other hazardous, flammable, explosive or corrosive materials in or near the office, storage container or other rented equipment. The 40 ft box is suitable here for ordinary tools, PPE, consumables and spill-response supplies, not the substances those supplies are meant to control.

The customer supplies fuel for the light tower, operates it according to its instructions and returns it at the delivered fuel level. Customer duties for prohibited materials, utility connections, fuel and equipment care are set out in Rental Agreement §7.

Risk of loss, theft, damage or destruction sits with the customer from delivery until JOLT retrieves each unit under Rental Agreement §8. That timing matters during a shutdown or rig move: an empty unit remains the customer's responsibility until retrieval.

How does delivery work on a lease road?

Send the exact pad address, lease-road directions, gate instructions, requested placement and a current contact when reserving. A 20 ft unit needs about 70 ft of straight-line clearance, while a 40 ft unit needs about 100 ft, plus adequate overhead clearance, road width, turning radius and grade.

The placement area must be firm, level and well drained. Mark utilities and have a representative present to direct placement; a phone pin cannot replace someone who knows active traffic, buried services and the approved office position.

Standard delivery has a 2–4 week window from reservation. Express service applies only to the Base office, not the Grid-Free office, storage container or light tower, so a remote pad kit should be scheduled on the standard window.

If our truck cannot complete delivery because the road, placement area or representative is not ready, the failed trip is charged and a later trip carries another delivery charge. The access and failed-trip provisions are in Rental Agreement §5.

Walk the route with the person responsible for lease-road maintenance before confirming dispatch. Check gates, parked equipment, overhead conflicts, soft shoulders and the truck's exit path, then send any change to JOLT while there is time to review it.

Do the same check before pickup. Production equipment, snow storage or staged pipe can close a route that was clear on delivery day, and the unit must be empty and reachable when our truck returns.

Colorado transport depends on the address. Grand Junction is Zone D, Glenwood Springs is Zone B, Carbondale is Zone C and the Denver metro is Zone E. Addresses outside the published zone list are priced separately, so text us for a delivery quote before reserving.

Review the delivery-zone map and list against the actual address rather than a mailing office. A pad behind a town address can still require road details that determine whether our truck has safe access.

What does winter do to the kit?

Short days, storms and office load reduce solar output. The Grid-Free office still has a 10 kWh pack that runs the HVAC, but JOLT makes no run-time claim because sunlight, weather and load change from one placement to the next.

The customer clears snow, ice, dust and debris from the solar panels, roof, doors and access paths under Rental Agreement §7. Plan that work into the pad inspection rather than waiting for connectivity, charging or door access to decline.

Keep the light tower's access and operating area clear so the customer can fuel and inspect it. Fuel remains the customer's supply, and the tower must return at the level delivered.

For a season-long office without shore power, the Alpine tier at $1,895/mo provides the Grid-Free office functions with a mountain envelope, standing-seam over-roof, covered entry deck and backup heat. It uses the same solar array and 10 kWh battery as Grid-Free on an unpowered pad.

Snow and road conditions can also affect delivery and retrieval. Confirm plowing, turning space and a firm level placement area before dispatch, especially when a lease road changes after the initial placement.

How does a Wyoming, Utah, Idaho or Montana pad work?

Every address in Wyoming, Utah, Idaho or Montana is Zone F. Delivery is $1,795, pickup is quoted separately in writing before delivery, and every unit at that address has a 12-month minimum.

The standard 2–4 week delivery window applies. Express remains limited to the Base office and does not change the Zone F term, so reserve the complete pad kit against the program start rather than the rig-arrival day.

Each unit carries its own delivery and pickup lines, even when the office, tower and storage container go to the same lease.

Zone F applies by state, not by proximity to a named town. Send the complete address and lease-road instructions so JOLT can quote pickup in writing before delivery and review whether the route works for the assigned equipment.

What happens when the rig moves to the next pad?

A move within the same pad is an on-site relocation performed by JOLT for $450. Mark the new point, restore a truck route and confirm that the receiving surface is firm, level and clear before scheduling the move.

A move to a different pad or lease is a pickup at the first address and a new delivery priced by the zone of the next address. The new site needs its own access review, placement direction and delivery window because road and pad conditions do not transfer with the equipment.

The customer may not tow, lift, transport or relocate a unit. Unauthorized movement conflicts with Rental Agreement §5 and can affect damage-waiver protection.

Give at least 15 days' written notice before pickup, including when the intended next use is another JOLT delivery. Rent continues until JOLT retrieves the equipment, so coordinate notice with the date the office and storage box will be empty and accessible.

Remove company property, clear doors and panels, and restore the retrieval path before our truck arrives. A failed pickup caused by access or an unready unit is charged, and rent continues until retrieval.

How is a long program billed?

Auto-pay by card or ACH is required. Rent and recurring upgrades bill monthly in advance, and each unit has its own invoice with delivery, pickup, relocation and BRAND listed as separate one-time charges when they apply.

Rates rise 5% on each anniversary of delivery. After the minimum term, the rental continues month to month until the customer gives at least 15 days' written pickup notice and JOLT retrieves the equipment.

That means the Grid-Free office and 40 ft box begin with 3-month minimums in Colorado, while the light tower begins with a 1-month minimum. At any Zone F address, the 12-month minimum replaces those shorter terms for every unit.

If the operator holds a sales-tax exemption, provide the valid exemption certificate before delivery. Otherwise sales and use taxes remain customer charges under Rental Agreement §4.

Because JOLT issues one invoice per unit, an operator can code the office, the tower and the storage box to the pad each one serves. Track the minimum-term end, the anniversary and the 15-day notice for each unit, and update the card or ACH account on file before the next advance billing date if it changes.
