A JOLT Base mobile office rental includes an insulated 20 ft ISO container, mini-split heat and cooling, lights, outlets, vinyl-plank floor, a personnel door, two barred windows and a 50-amp inlet. Rent starts at $795/mo with a 3-month minimum; furniture, internet, electric supply and transport are separate unless your selected tier or upgrade says otherwise.
What exactly comes with the Base office?
Base is the starting equipment package, not an empty shipping box. The enclosure is a 20 ft ISO container measuring 8 ft wide by 8 ft 6 in high outside. A 36-inch steel personnel door is the everyday entrance, and two barred slider windows admit light while preserving a physical barrier.
The interior includes insulation and vinyl-plank flooring. Installed lights and outlets support ordinary office use once the unit is connected to an appropriate electrical source. The mini-split supplies both heat and cooling.
A 50-amp shore-power inlet is part of the unit. Electricity is not. The customer provides and pays for power, and a licensed electrician must connect utilities through the provided inlet to code under Rental Agreement §7.2(f).
Base does not include desks, chairs, a refrigerator, microwave, internet service, camera or solar-battery supply. Those items belong to named upgrades or higher tiers. Keeping that boundary clear makes purchase-order review much easier.
| Monthly rent | $795/mo |
|---|---|
| Minimum term | 3 months |
| Reservation deposit | $750 — applied to your first invoice |
| Standard delivery window | 2–4 weeks |
| JOLT Express | $750 — on-site within 7 business days |
| Includes | 20 ft ISO container office, 8 ft × 8 ft 6 in · 36-inch steel personnel door, two barred slider windows · Mini-split heat and cooling, 50-amp shore-power inlet · Lights, outlets, vinyl-plank floor |
| Stacks with | WATCH · CONNECT · POWER · READY · JOLT PACK · 2nd camera · Unlimited Starlink |
The 20 ft office family compares all three tiers. Every one has a 3-month minimum, and each starts with the Base office's core working features.
Which items are included and which cost extra?
Read the proposal by function. The physical room, climate system and installed electrical distribution come with Base. Services that connect the room to the outside world, furnish it or monitor it are separate unless the tier includes them.
| Item | Base treatment | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Insulated 20 ft office shell | Included | Base equipment |
| Mini-split heat and cooling | Included | Base equipment |
| Lights, outlets and vinyl-plank floor | Included | Base equipment |
| 36-inch steel door and 2 barred windows | Included | Base equipment |
| 50-amp shore-power inlet | Included | Base equipment |
| Utility electricity and hookup | Customer supplied | Licensed electrician and site source |
| Table, chairs, whiteboard and small appliances | Upgrade | READY |
| Starlink Mini, router and 50 GB plan | Upgrade | CONNECT |
| Solar LTE panoramic camera | Upgrade | WATCH |
| Light-load solar and battery | Upgrade | POWER |
| Removable logo | One-time option | BRAND |
| Delivery and pickup | Separate | Destination zone |
The distinction between an inlet and supplied power catches many estimators. JOLT provides the point where approved power enters the office. Your project provides the source, electrician, temporary distribution and electricity consumed.
The same logic applies to connectivity. An outlet can power a customer-owned modem, but no internet service is included with Base. Add CONNECT when you want JOLT to fit Starlink Mini and an inside router with a 50 GB Roam plan.
What do Grid-Free, Alpine and the bathroom office add?
Grid-Free starts with everything in Base, then builds WATCH, CONNECT and POWER into the tier. It also has a 10 kWh battery pack that runs the HVAC, so shore power is not required. Do not add WATCH, CONNECT or POWER a second time to that tier.
The Grid-Free office suits a remote or pre-power phase where the office still needs heat and cooling. READY, a second camera and unlimited Starlink data can be added when their functions are needed.
Alpine begins with everything in Grid-Free. It adds a mountain envelope, matte-black finish with cedar surrounds, standing-seam over-roof, covered entry deck and backup heat. Its solar array and 10 kWh battery run the HVAC without shore power.
The 40 ft office with bathroom is a separate size and layout. It includes an enclosed bathroom at the far end, mini-split heat and cooling, 50-amp inlet, lights, outlets and vinyl-plank floor. Water and sewer connections remain the customer's responsibility under Rental Agreement §7.5.
| Office | Included beyond its basic enclosure | Customer still plans |
|---|---|---|
| 20 ft Base | Standard office equipment listed above | Shore power and setup |
| 20 ft Grid-Free | WATCH, CONNECT, POWER and 10 kWh HVAC battery | Sunlight, sky view and operating loads |
| 20 ft Alpine | Grid-Free systems plus mountain shell, roof, deck and backup heat | Sunlight, sky view and snow clearing |
| 40 ft bathroom | Enclosed bathroom plus office equipment | Water, sewer and shore power |
Choose by site constraint rather than by the length of the feature list. Grid-Free solves missing shore power. Alpine adds a mountain-office configuration to the same off-grid systems. The 40 ft unit supplies more room and an enclosed bathroom where utility connections can be provided.
What does each upgrade add?
READY is the furniture and break-area kit. It includes a plan table, two chairs, whiteboard, mini-fridge, microwave and 1,500 W thermostatic wall heater. It is the direct answer when the office needs to be usable without hauling furnishings from the company shop.
CONNECT is the communications kit: Starlink Mini on the roof, router inside and 50 GB Roam plan. An unlimited-data add-on is offered separately. Service depends on sky view, weather and the third-party network under Rental Agreement §13.
WATCH is a solar LTE panoramic camera with its own battery and SIM. It provides motion alerts, cloud clips and night vision without relying on office WiFi. The customer is responsible for notices, signs and recording consents required by law.
POWER includes two 400 W panels, a 3 kWh LFP battery and inverter. It runs Starlink, WATCH, LED lights, laptops and phones for about two days without sun. It does not run the mini-split or READY heater.
JOLT PACK combines WATCH, CONNECT and POWER. Hardware in every rented kit remains JOLT's property, the kit is fitted at our Gypsum yard before delivery, and recurring upgrade charges bill monthly with rent.
| Item | Price |
|---|---|
WATCH Your site has eyes | $129 /mo |
CONNECT Starlink on the box | $259 /mo |
POWER Solar and battery, no generator | $399 /mo |
READY Furnished on day one | $125 /mo |
| $699 /mo |
Upgrades stack on any office or storage container and bill monthly with the rent.
Upgrades stack on eligible office and storage containers, but not on temporary fence. Grid-Free and Alpine already include the three systems in JOLT PACK, so reserve only READY, a second camera or unlimited Starlink for those tiers.
What is never included in the office rent?
The site pad is not included. You provide a firm, level, well-drained placement area, located utilities, required permits, HOA or landlord consent and a representative at delivery. For a 20 ft office, preserve about 70 ft of straight-line clearance plus overhead clearance.
Fuel and electricity are customer costs. Base and the 40 ft office need a suitable shore-power source for normal operation; Grid-Free and Alpine carry their own solar array and battery. A generator, if used, is customer supplied and customer fueled, and it runs outdoors, at least 20 ft from doors, windows and vents (CPSC guidance).
Furniture is absent unless READY is selected. Internet is absent unless CONNECT is selected or built into Grid-Free or Alpine. Monitoring is absent unless WATCH is selected or built into Grid-Free or Alpine.
For the bathroom office, JOLT does not supply site water and sewer connections. The customer supplies and pays for both. Confirm the connection arrangement and permitting before reserving a unit whose bathroom cannot otherwise be used.
No overnight sleeping or residential use is allowed. Hazardous materials and alterations such as welding, cutting, drilling or painting are also prohibited under Rental Agreement §7. Paying rent does not convert equipment into a residence or authorize field modification.
Permits are not a rental inclusion. The responsible jurisdiction, owner and project team decide what approvals apply. JOLT supplies the rented office described in the reservation, not design or permit services.
Which recurring charges appear on the invoice?
Monthly rent is the first recurring line. A Base office is $795/mo, Grid-Free is $1,495/mo, Alpine is $1,895/mo, and the 40 ft bathroom office is $1,595/mo.
Selected eligible upgrades bill monthly with rent. That means READY, CONNECT, WATCH, POWER, JOLT PACK, a second camera or unlimited Starlink data continues until the applicable rented equipment is returned or the approved change is completed.
The environmental fee is 5%. Sales tax also applies unless a valid exemption certificate is provided before delivery. Recurring charges bill monthly in advance to the card on file under Rental Agreement §4.
Damage waiver is optional at 12% of rent plus recurring upgrades. The alternative is a refundable security deposit equal to one month's rent plus a certificate of insurance meeting Rental Agreement §10. Read §12 for the waiver's deductible and exclusions rather than treating it as insurance.
Rates increase 5% on each anniversary of delivery under §3.4. After the minimum term, rent continues month to month until at least 15 days' written pickup notice has been given and JOLT retrieves the unit.
The reservation deposit is not another monthly line. For a Base office it is $750, reserves the unit and delivery window, and is applied to the first invoice under Rental Agreement §2.
Which one-time charges should the estimate carry?
Delivery and pickup are separate transport legs. Zones A–E publish a fee for each leg, while Zone F delivery is published and pickup is quoted in writing before delivery. Review the job address on the delivery-zone map instead of hiding transport inside an allowance.
For example, delivery to Avon is Zone A — $400 each way. Delivery to Denver is Zone E — $1,200 each way. Pickup is another leg at the applicable amount in Zones A–E.
JOLT Express is an optional $750 charge for an eligible Base 20 ft office. It puts that Base unit on site within 7 business days; the standard window for equipment is 2–4 weeks from reservation. Rental Agreement §5.1 controls the remedy if the Express window is missed.
BRAND is a one-time $450 option for a removable vinyl logo under Rental Agreement §14. The logo-branding option is useful when the office faces a client entrance or public project edge.
Relocation by JOLT is $450. Customers may not move the unit themselves under Rental Agreement §5.5, even if suitable equipment is already on the job.
Failed delivery and pickup trips can also be charged under §§5 and 16. Avoid them by maintaining access, clearing the unit and keeping the designated representative reachable.
How does a container office compare with trailer itemization?
Mobile-office suppliers do not all use the same base package. A trailer quotation may separate steps, landing, ramp, blocking, skirting, anchors, furniture, damage protection and transport. Never compare only the bold monthly number.
A ground-level container office does not use a trailer's tires and axles, but it still needs a stable pad and truck access. Its included list should be checked against the project's actual needs in the same line-by-line way.
Use five headings when leveling proposals: room and climate equipment, access equipment, furnishings, utilities and communications, then transport and protection. Mark each item as included, separately billed, customer supplied or not offered. That method exposes omissions without relying on sales terminology.
The container office versus office trailer comparison addresses the physical tradeoffs. The answer on mobile office trailer rental cost explains why quoted totals differ without repeating another company's prices.
Contract duration also affects the comparison. JOLT offices have a 3-month minimum. Rent then continues through retrieval, so compare the expected field period, notice requirement and demobilization access rather than multiplying one advertised month.
What does the customer do before delivery?
Choose the office tier and every needed upgrade before reservation so we can fit rented kits at the Gypsum yard. Send the job address, requested window, site contact and placement photos. Identify whether shore power, water or sewer must be ready.
Prepare the firm, level, well-drained pad and preserve the delivery route. A 20 ft unit requires about 70 ft of straight-line clearance; a 40 ft unit requires about 100 ft. Mark utilities and overhead conflicts.
Arrange permits and owner approvals. For Base or the 40 ft office, have a licensed electrician prepare the code-compliant connection through the provided inlet. For a bathroom office, settle water and sewer connections before assuming the room is operational.
Paying the reservation deposit secures the equipment and delivery window, with the deposit applied to the first invoice. Written cancellation more than 14 days before the first day of the window receives a full deposit refund; inside 14 days the deposit is forfeited under §2.
The complete sequence from selection through retrieval appears at how JOLT rentals work. Give the checklist to the superintendent and accounting contact so the field assumptions match the purchase order.
What should you reserve?
Reserve Base when you need the included room, climate system and installed electrical equipment on a powered site. Select Grid-Free when HVAC must operate without shore power, Alpine for the same off-grid systems plus its mountain configuration and backup heat, or the 40 ft bathroom office when an enclosed bathroom and utility connections fit the plan.
Before submitting a reservation, list the tier, upgrades, job address, dates, power source, pad condition, access clearance and billing contact. Ask for every needed item by name; if it is not in the included list, selected tier, upgrade or written reservation, do not carry it as supplied.
